Top pic is the lineup for Nogi's 22nd single while the bottom one is the lineup for current members, luckily they're not at the point AKB is where you need a scorecard to keep track of the members. Been a while but am having a mini Nogi marathon as I write this up, starting off with the "Synchronicity" single, thought that song was just so-so but do like the "Scoutman" tune which was done by the second generation members.
Haven't heard any songs off the new single yet but will in about forty minutes, will listen to it a few times before I let you know my feelings on it. Today is quite a colossal post as there's a little bit of so much like mag spreads, blog pics, cards, interview pics and even more. At the top is a new CM that features Asuka and Mai, it's for their 'Nogizaka Channel' which began in May and if you watch the video on YT you can find the link for the channel there.
EDIT: Did play the new single and by far the Undergirl's song "Nichijou" was the best.
The title for single #22 is "Kaerimichi wa Toomawari Shitaku Naru" and as expected the sales for it have been massive. It's been out two days now, first day sales were 822,000 copies sold while the tally for the second day was 105,000+. Should be a piece of cake to hit the million mark in it's first week which will be their seventh in a row though they can't quite catch AKB in total sales.
As most know it's Nanase's last single with the group and she's the center of the song, still no date for her graduation but it'll probably be around Christmas time. Like so many Idols doubt if she'll continue as a singer but instead she said more acting is in her future. Will have a solo post for her next week and the top pic is the only one with her today. These are pics from the new single and will have a few more smaller sets in future group posts.
Single #21 is now on and will admit "Jikochuu de Ikou!' is a fairly good song and one of their best A-sides in a while, chorus really reminds me of "Girls Rule!". There's been many more interviews with websites for the new single, they've also been for their new stage play "Zambi" which opens tomorrow. Pics here are from Tokyo Popline which feature Yuuri and Kazumi and the last pic is the cover of her first book! Yes, she's the first Nogi member to have one and it's titled "Trapezium", it was originally a serial in the DaVinci magazine.
Even more interview pics with Yuuri who is rapidly rising on my faves list and may be in my top five, she's finally been a Senbatsu member for the past few singles. This set of pics is from Modelpress and with are Misa and Maaya who is a member we rarely see these days.
As mentioned will be having the first 'Nogi/Keya Fave Members' list soon, first time I've had them together. Undecided what to do with Misa, she finished in the top spot last year and usually when that happens make that person ineligible and have done that for any kind of list. So can't decide whether to include her or not, leaning towards having her.
But the problem is Misa would be #1 again which would take the suspense away, still have time before the list gets started. For the last baseball season Misa was a co-host on the weekend 'World Baseball' show which has naturally ended it's run. Kind of odd but the Nogi host on it before her was Nanami who finished #1 on my first Nogi faves list.
Even more Misa and don't we all want to see her have another photobook!? First set are cards from October while the others are from her radio show that airs on Tokyo FM.
Looking forward to hearing the Undergirl's song on the new single, for the first time Hinako has a center position. In even better news her first PB will be released on December 27th, why didn't they have it come out two weeks before to take advantage of Christmas sales? She was supposed to have her PB come out in June of 2017 but for an unknown reason it was shelved, no idea whether some of those pics will in the new photobbok. Hinako picked an odd place for a photo shoot as the pics were taken in Sweden and hopefully it was during the Summer. Bottom two pics are advance ones for the book and it doesn't look like Summer.... perhaps they have Hot Springs there(?).
Can't have a group post without having new Miona pics, she just never has enough for a solo post. She's someone else I'd love to see have a second PB, her book from 2017 was my second fave Nogi one of the year. First set of pics are some missed cards from September followed by some from her 'Recon' radio show which airs on Wednesday nights. Last batch of pics are from her blog and she remains Nogi's best when it comes to keeping it updated.
Asuka usually does GRL pic sets, it's a clothing line, with Nanase and they do have a whole batch of new ones out. But will just have Asuka's ones for today and her popularity is so sky high these days.
On to three new mag spreads and the first features the Undergirl Ayane who i really like quite a bit. She was a Senbatsu member for the 21st single but sadly not for the new one, this first set is from a special Flash edition called 'Best of Autumn 2018' which also featured two Keya members.
Yumi is another first generation member who is graduating, unlike the other two her official date has been set which will be December 4th at Budokan. Don't know what her future plans are but will let you know soon, to be honest haven't checked up on her too much. This could be the first time she's had a solo cover.... oooops, wait she did have one last year promoting her first PB. Her second solo cover then is from the November 26th issue of Big Comic Spirits.
More Asuka to end the post off with and she's been seemingly everywhere the past two years, this final set is from the November edition of Men's Non-no.
