Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Maria Makino: Her quintessential and soon to be legendary ninth post!!!!

Much better beginning to April compared to March as it took two weeks to have nineteen posts, have already hit that mark in nine days. Only post for today but it'll be a fabulous one with over eighty pics that have never been posted before. In some good news for Morning Musume fans it was announced yesterday their 71st single will be coming out in June, that is some good news as I really like their songs and last year the group just had one single. So with that upcoming release it'll mean many more things for MM so will finally be having a group post or two once it gets closer to the single's release. It'll also mean we'll be seeing much more of Maria and in more ways than one!!!! It may be a while until her next solo post but she's had nine in two months which is an impossible pace to maintain. As far as the yearly fave's list goes six solo posts are needed to qualify, it's true the title says nine but this is really only the fifth post that counts for this year. Four posts only had things from 2021 so one more post is still needed yet five posts in two months is another unheard of pace. Long way to go in 2022 but as of now Maria could currently be my #1 of the year to date.

There are some things from last year in this post but they're the final pics from 2021 and don't want to go back before that year. Maria's first eight posts have had an average of 755 views and is that number one so for this year? Last year 755 would have been the tenth highest average but you have to remember that's from just two months of posts! So as the months go on that average will be zooming up and can she get to about 1,400 in average which is what the #1 woman usually has.

So with today's eighty or so pics will be completely caught up with all of 2021 things and also what's taken place this year up until now. Maria has to be the biggest Baseball fan among Idols and I'm a bit surprised she doesn't co-host some sort of program for the sport. The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters is Maria's #1 team and the Japan Baseball season began on March 25th. Not many recent pics from Maria at the Morning Musume blog, she's also a huge manga fan which you can see in many of the pics.

So because there were so few new blog pics have some dazzling ones from 2021 that hadn't been posted, all are from photo shoots and that fourth pic.... gulp....

The vast majority of Maria's spreads are gravure ones but she also does do a lot of regular modeling. Come to think of it there have been some new pics in that vein lately but will wait until her next post to have them. So here's two mini spreads that are nothing like her sizzling ones, four pics from the April 2021 issue of Skawaii and two pics(!) from this April's edition of Steady.

So here's the final spread that hadn't been posted from 2021 which is from the October 26th issue of Young Champion. In that blog section there were two outtake pics from this photo shoot, Maria is often a cover girl and this may have been the top cover for 2021!

Final bit, this post did go by too fast but there were over eighty new pics. On February 2nd Maria released her eighth photobook and it may have been her best seller to date. With the book came a 65 minute DVD of the photo shoot and what a video it is as I've viewed it ten times already! In these posts have been including twenty screenshots, this is the fifth time so that means a hundred screenshots have ben posted and will have forty more. The whole DVD is beyond perfect but especially the segment in that black swimsuit Maria's wearing below which may be my top pics of the year! Instead of having a solo video after the pics will have one for the newish "I Wish" digital single. Back in 2000 it was Morning Musume's tenth single but the current group did a new version which came out in March. Even though I post so often about '46' groups the songs from Hello Project are so much better to me.
