Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: 'Top Twenty Faves list for 2016' #3....?
That bottom pic ranks way up there on my all time list, whewwww....
Two more selections to go and bet most wouldn't have picked Minami to be so high and at the beginning of the year you would have been correct. No doubt for 2016 she was my fastest rising fave and if there had been more pics of her from this year then #1 was a possibility but can say the same thing for all in the top five.
Minami is the shortest gal on the top twenty list as she stands just 149 cm, you really notice her height when she stands next to others. Have given her bio info out a few times but if you missed them Minami is 25 with her birthday taking place on April 30th. She's been a member of Hello Project for 12 years already, they really recruit females when they're young.
Minami's main claim to J-Pop fame is being the captain of Up Up Girls who have been around since 2011 and in October released their 21st single. Most of the singles only sell so-so but the group's single "Party People Alien" which came out in April hit #5 on the charts. Keep promising to do more posts for the group but never seem to get around to it, will try to change that for 2017 as their singles are quite good.
Minami is a busy woman but they're most of the time her activities aren't postable things such as she hosts two radio shows and appears a few times a month on the H!P show 'The Girls Live'. There was a two part movie which was released in 2013 titled "Ada" which she and the Up Up Girls starred in but haven't found either of the parts yet.
Was worried there wouldn't be enough things to post about then but do have quite a few pics that haven't been posted here yet, almost all of them for today will be pics you haven't seen yet. There's a superb video on YT that's worth checking out for the photo shoot of this Young Gangan spread which came out in April 2014, issue #18. Along with Minami is Yuu who most may know and the other gal is Aina Hashimoto from the Hello Project group The Possible.
Another 2014 spread that hadn't been posted is this one from Arms and their May edition.
Mentioned Yuu above and she finished in the fifth position on the top twenty list. Her and Minami are quite good friends and have done a few other mag spreads than the one posted plus their birthday is only one day apart.
Few Minami blog pics from this year and she usually does a good job at keeping it updated.
To me Minami may be the most underrated Idol and it's been that way for a few years now. Not many beat her on being adorable plus her rare mag spreads are almost second to none. Here's some assorted pics and most of them are new for here.
There's quite a few videos of Minami on YT and some of them are quite exhilarating. Have some screenshots from two of them here, seven pics each, and the video for the bottom seven pics you can view which is a video that's highly recommended.
