Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: A little bit of this and that for 2018 #13....
Big shortage of Nogi group posts this year as there were probably thirty or so in 2017 titled 'a little bit of this and that'. However have done so many more solo posts than ever this year, would imagine at least fifty and hope to have one this Friday for Hinako. She's one of my bigger faves though she had one of the most unluckiest streaks an Idol has ever had but in two days her first photobook is coming out. There should be an event for it and she already has one terrific mag spread for the PB.
Oricon released their top ten for 2018 sales about a week ago, the period ended on November 30th. Nogi had the third and fourth best selling singles of the year and may have had the fifth one too but their last single came out in November so had only three weeks to accumulate sales. The group's third photobook was the year's best seller by far plus four solo books made the top ten.
Misa is someone who has just been way too quiet for the past three months or so. It's not that she's not doing anything but rarely have seen her in a mag spread plus haven't seen her appear at a group event since at least the Summer, hope she's not one that's thinking of graduating.
Misa is one of the older Nogi members as she'll be turning 26 on January 4th. Will be having that first Nogi/Keya top twenty faves list starting in about a month, unsure if she should be included as she already finished #1 on one list and would be the odds on favorite to repeat. She's still a co-host of the radio show 'Jugglers' which airs Monday nights, these are from the December 17th show.
On December 22nd Asuka, Sayuri M. and Manatsu appeared at the 'Weibo Japan 2018 Account Festival'. At the ceremony they accepted the award for being the most 'Popular Idol Group' in Japan and also for being the most popular Japanese Idol group in China, Weibo is the largest social media site in China.
The next 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show will be held January 12th in Shizuoka. Of course Nogi will be there though not that many members will be taking a stroll on the catwalk.
On to a couple of new mag spreads and the first one features Sayuri I. from issue #52 of WPB. Small set but it does have some outtake pics from her first photobook that came out on December 14th. It did very well in it's first week out as it topped the charts selling 33,000+ copies.
Only other spread features Minami and she's a third generation member who has become extremely popular these past few months. Lot of Nogi members celebrate a b-day in January, her date is the 6th and this final set is from the January 14th edition of Big Comic Spirits. Minami will also be one of the Nogi members who will be appearing at the upcoming 'TGC' show.
