Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Tsubasa Honda: A little bit of this and that....

Of the twenty who made my all time faves list that was completed two months ago this is only the third person from the list who has had a post. That's why it was an all time list as a few definitely aren't as busy as they once were. Tsubasa still is a busy actress and model but nowhere near the level she was at from 2012-16.
She finished 10th on that list and think that was an accurate spot for Tsubasa, she's one of the few in the top ten who has a good chance of moving up if there ever is another list. Bit of a quiet Summer but her activities seem to be picking up and I for one am glad for that, may enjoy doing posts for her more than just about any one else. Hmmmm, one reason we haven't heard as much from Tsubasa this year is because she tried her hand at singing for a while, didn't work out well enough though....

At the top is a new CM for Metro Osaka that came out on November 25th, Tsubasa was born and raised in Tokyo so don't know why they chose her to promote their travel system.

Besides her dazzling looks to me Tsubasa is one of the best actresses around though her dramas for the past two or so years haven't been nearly as good as her older ones. But she does have one beginning in January titled "Yuube wa Otanoshimi Deshita ne" and this show looks like it could be a winner. Her best dramas are ones that are a bit quirky which this one appears to be.

Tsubasa was a Non-no model for over eight years but graduated from the magazine this Spring. However she naturally got scooped up quickly by a few other mags and fashions sites, she seems to have a more mature image with the new places. One new site is from Baila which are the first five pics here followed by new ones from the More site.

With her Non-no graduation Tsubasa doesn't appear in their monthly mags these days which is such a shame. But she had appeared in many other mags too though those pictorials have slowed down this year but do have one new superb Tsubasa set from the December issue of 25ans.

Like most of my bigger faves Tsubasa is slowly inching up there in age, she's still a bit younger than most who made the top twenty list but she'll be turning 27 next June. However she looks better than ever and especially at events where she's always dressed a bit conservatively. On November 12th she was at an event promoting a new CM for 'Nichigas' which I think is a wedding company or at least that's what the CM seemed to be promoting.

On December 5th which is today Tsubasa was at a press conference promoting her upcoming TV movie "Keigo Higashino Letter". It'll be airing December 19th on TV Tokyo, Higashimo is a very popular mystery writer and the movie is based upon one of his stories. I've read at least four of his novels and they're all highly recommended. After the event pics you can check out a video for her new 'Nishigas' CM which has a behind the scenes segment and Tsubasa just looks so super duper.

  1. Will you do another post on Yuumi Shida? She’s done a few photo shoots recently
