Was thinking yesterday that it's been 38 months since Nanami graduated.... 38!!!! Know that time flies but can't believe it's been that long, not that time has flown that quickly but still three years at times can seem like an eternity. Have a feeling many fans are forgetting about her and really can't blame them as it's been happening to me, for over three years she was my #1 Nogi member. Have no clue what Nanami is up to these days, she did say she was retiring from the entertainment business and she's kept her word. Don't go delving into her private life but have an inkling she's done close to zero since she left Nogi, don't think she's working nor has she returned to college.
Just checked Nogi's current lineup, out of the 36 who formed the group back in August 2011 only eleven remain, actually the number is two less as there's been a pair of graduations put on hold. Still have plenty of pics for Nogi posts but their activities have slowed way down as they can't perform concerts nor attend events. Things won't remain as they are forever but think there will be enough things to have at least two or so group posts a week, it's the solo ones I haven't been able to do.
So without being able to appear in public these posts may become a bit one dimensional but all will have a slew of pics, today there's eighty of them. In solo posts always included Nogi cards but hadn't been doing that in group ones for quite a while, decided to start having them as there's many members who don't appear too often at events or in mags. So will be featuring some of the lesser known members for the 'NogiKoi' mobile game cards but though they're not as popular definitely wouldn't call them lesser talents as all do have a core of fans.
Such as Sayuri who was originally going to graduate at the end of March but it was put on hold for obvious reasons. Her official departure date is now this Sunday, April 27th but there will be no farewell concert. For now that is as she mentioned in a recent interview she'll return for one final show or two once the group begins performing again. She has the first batch of cards followed by Kana who is also a first generation member. Have always thought she's such a 'team player' as so often she's filled in for Senbatsu members when they can't attend a concert or TV appearance.
Will feature four members at a time though many you'll see more than once. The next pair are second generation gals and to be honest I like them better than most original members. First off here is Ayane who I've liked for a long time and can recall the days when she may have been the quietest Idol in history. She's come a long way in the past 2-3 years, she's hosted her own radio show and has appeared in a drama. Following her is Ranze and at one time she was becoming so popular as she was a Senbatsu member for 2-3 singles. Don't know what happened after that as she was dropped back to being an Undergirl but she still does appear in many mags.
There's four new mag spreads for today and have noticed that's something which hasn't slowed down but wonder if it will in the future? Another thing I've noticed is that almost all of the recent ones have been solo spreads which I actually prefer. Up first today is Rena and she just graduated from college last month but hasn't given any indication she'll be leaving soon. And why should she or other members leave when they're so young as an Idol career doesn't last all that long and why not enjoy yourself for a while. This is actually part one of a spread as it's so huge thought it'd be better to split it in two. This massive set has about forty pages, have half for today which is from volume 136 of Marquee. It's a bit of a 'greatest hits' spread as she's appeared in the mag so often the past few years.
Can't give a good reason why but we've been seeing so many more second generation members have solo mag spreads the past four months. To me it's a good thing and maybe Nogi's management has listened to fans and are giving them a bit more of a push. This spread is fro m the May issue of UTB, it features Hina who is now 22 in age and is also an exclusive model for JJ.
From 2017 to mid 2019 no Nogi member appeared in as many mags as Asuka did but she's slowed down drastically with her spreads. But she does other modeling work too and will have some of those pics in the next group post which hopefully may happen this weekend. This set is from volume 22
of Overture.
As usual saved the best for last and often that means Minami! But not often enough as of late as this is her first solo spread since December, know she's not Nogi's most bodacious gal but there's no member I want to see have a photobook more than her. She's the cover girl for the May 4th edition of Big Comic Spirits, there's usually a video of the photo shoot but it's not out yet. You'll see that the bottom pic also has two other members and it's promoting the current drama "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken". So far just the first episode has been subbed, once more are done will be recapping the series. Following the pics is a new video for the show which looks to be so entertaining.
Please add Dasada drama

As far as the drama goes viewed the first three episodes and really didn't enjoy it which is why there's been no posts. If their new variety show is subbed will be posting about it. The second one presume you mean Yume and she does have 3-4 posts already as I like her quite a bit, will have another post for her somewhat soon.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too the Dasada drama was not so good
