Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Aqours: Few group spreads but mainly a.... Shuka Saito post!

I really enjoy the nine gals from this group but had gone ten months without any kind of solo or group post but have finally come to my senses and this is the third one since October 28th. Perhaps there could have been one post during that stretch for a member but that's it, still may have one coming up for her soon. Was working on making this Shuka's fourth solo post, have close to forty recent pics but that's it as there hasn't been many others from this year. So made this a group post which actually works out well as there's two huge spreads from 2020 that I had been holding on to and will have to admit I slightly forgot about them.

In case you're new to Aqours they're a nine women anime voice team which is also a J-Pop group and their songs are quite popular. But in an odd twist they do so many things it's hard to keep up with all nine and never know where to start. Another problem is that they're so associated with their anime projects such as 'Long Live Sunshine' so when you do a search you usually come up with their dubbing projects which doesn't make for interesting posts. For some reason the three month stretch from November until January is the Aqour's busiest time of the year doing group activities so hopefully can squeeze a few more posts in soon.

If someone can help me out it'd be appreciated, what I've been looking for are regular Aqour albums. Have got a few but they're all short anime songs which has bummed me out as they're so fun at concerts, so the question is do they have a regular Aqours album? Thanks if you can help and now on to the mag spreads which total four. First one is for Arisa who had a recent post for a digital photobook, she does more gravure work than any other member by far. She was the one mentioned at the top about possibly having a solo post and will work on that soon, here's a solo set from the August 10th issue of WPB that has outtake pics from the mini PB.

On to the pair of group spreads and as I said in the beginning had slightly forgotten about the group as they were a bit quiet most of the year. These sets are both quite big and they feature all nine of Aqours members, this first set is kind of an oldie from the January 23rd issue of Young Jump. It also has the subgroups the members are in together and no one is busier than this team of women.

Somewhat newish group set that's from the August 6th edition of Young Jump.

Rikako is my fave member of the group, like most of them she's a bit short at 152 cm and don't think too many voice actresses are that tall. Right behind her is Shuka whose height is 151 cm and she's been my second fave member for a long time and isn't that far off from being #1. Have three different things from her today with this first set being some recent blog pics, few are from her 'NACK 5' radio show that just began on July 1st.

On November 11th Shuka released her second mini album "Sunflower", her first album hit #5 on the charts while this in it's first week hit the eleventh position selling a little over 7,000 copies. The top pics are the covers while the rest are of her band and from a mini concert. Shuka did have her own group perform on the album and they also did a short November 14th YT concert called 'Your Way, My Way' which will be at the bottom of the post.

Final thing for this post is a fabulous spread from the December 7th issue of Big Comic Spirits and Shuka has been their cover girl at least five times, bottom pics are from the photo shoot.
