Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida....if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the rightplace(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Risa Watanabe: Hopefully a few still remember who she is!
Can't quite remember but think I may have had an August post with the same title, if so then you know there's no way I'll ever let anyone forget about her! And that goes without saying for as most know Risa was my #1 on the 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list and in all honesty no one was all that close to toppling her. If she can stay busy enough over the next few years don't know why she wouldn't be my number one again if a third all time list is done in 2026.
Know the odds are slim but hope we do see some occasional(many!) gravure pics of her in the future. This was a bit of a 'spur of the moment' post as I wasn't planning on having her next one for eight days. On October 8th Risa will be at the Autumn 'Girls Award' show so there should be some terrific pics from it so was planning on having a post two days after. But had enough new pics for this post and thought why not have those 'Girls Award' pics in another post about three weeks from now? That sounded like a wise decision and luckily these posts haven't really slowed down since her May graduation from Keya.
Will miss having pics of my top ever pair, keep forgetting to work on a second 'Pairs Post' for the duo. When Risa left Keya she opened her own IG page on the same day, she used to post all of her pics at the group's 'Diary' blog. However she never really posted all that many pics there and the trend has somewhat continued as these are the only new ones from the past few weeks.
As you can see Risa is holding an issue of Non-no, it's of their November issue. She'll be the cover girl and will have that spread in her next post. Have a fine batch of pics here which are some older Keya cards from 2019 that had never been posted, still have many you've never seen before.
Just a few new modeling pics from the Non-no site and have noticed there's been such a decrease in modeling pics for everyone as of late. The bottom pics are from the November issue's photo shoot.
Just a three page spread from the November issue of Voce but hope it's a trend that continues as Risa has had only three other spreads this year that weren't for Non-no.
On September 3rd Risa was at the Autumn/Winter 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show. After it she did an interview with the Model Press site and have the link to it. Once again she didn't talk much about her future but did mention going to the August 'W-Keyaki Fes': Model Press site
In Risa's last post had pics from the TGC show though not nearly enough! But did find plenty more of them and to me she looked the best of any one there, she took her stroll on the 'Sona' stage. Won't have her November Non-no spread until her next post but after the pics is a short promo video for it.
