"Furo Girl" drama: Episode three recap

Air Dates: July 15th until August 20th, five episodes at the time of this recap have aired. It's
on TV-Tokyo Wednesday nights at 12:58 am, subs have been done by 'Salaryman Subs'.

Main Cast: This is correct as there's only two characters and really it's mainly just Hinako who is on screen close to 100% of the time. When she interacts with her best friend it's always by video on their cellphones and it could be because of the virus.

Hinako Sakurai as Sayoko Oyumino.... 25 year old OL(supposedly) who is overly obsessed with taking baths! Seems she has only one friend in the world and spends all of her time alone which is fine by her as taking baths is more important than being around humans! The narration is also done by Sayoko as we rarely hear her talk out loud.

Sakurako Konishi as Aino Hiyama.... Sayoko's only friend and she's man crazy, though she has a boyfriend he ignores her and she's always on the hunt for another. The pair went to an unnamed college together.

The plan was to have all of the recaps in a row for the final four episodes. That's not possible as the last two shows haven't been subbed yet but wanted to try to get as many recaps done before the new version of Blogger arrives. Bit surprised the first two recaps have gotten a solid amount of views, usually they don't plus this series stars Hinako who is the least popular actress I post often about. Each show is a stand alone one and there's no ongoing storyline, may help to read those first two posts but it's not necessary.

Will give a very brief summary of the heroine Sayako who is a 25 year old OL but have never seen her at work nor has she mentioned what kind of job it is. This whole series revolves around Sayako's passion for taking baths and she's such a connoisseur about them as she goes through a ritual before taking one and creates many unique things to add to the bath. She has one friend named Aino who Sayako constantly talks to on the phone, Aino can't understand why her friend is so consumed with baths and the two have never appeared together but that changes in the next episode.

For a bath fanatic guess the worst incident that could take place is perhaps no water or having something wrong with it, the latter is the predicament she found herself with. But it wasn't a case of no water but the only thing coming out of the tap was cold water, to me that's all I need after doing an Idol post!!!! However Sayako isn't a fan of cold water and made an emergency call to the local plumber. Arriving very quickly was a young man named Mamoru who like Sayako shared such a love for baths and in his case saunas too.

In record time Mamoru was able to fix the problem and he was quite impressed with Sayako's bathroom. She told Mamoru all about her bath creations and the rituals she went through every night, once again the young man was impressed and for the first time ever was their a twinkle in Sayako's eye for a man. to date she's never had a boyfriend.. Mamoru asked Sayako about taking saunas as he's a huge fans of the ones from Finland.

Up until now Sayako had never taken a sauna in her own bathtub, to her it's time for a new adventure! Mamoru helped her out by giving many tips on how to do one in one's own bathroom, Sayako also did a bit of research on the internet and it's a night for a new phase in life! Creating a sauna in your own bathroom is not an easy task and it took Sayako a while to set everything up. You need to make sure the room is sealed well to keep the steam in plus have the right kind of cleaning mixtures in the bath.

In each of these shows Sayako mentions that you can go to the drama's TV-Tokyo site and look up the instructions on her recipes or like today's theme on how to create your own sauna.Took a while and a bit of work but when it comes to taking a bath that's oki doki to Sayako. Of course the sauna came out perfectly or at least it appeared to us as Sayako enjoyed the bath immensely and did think her unique umbrella was a nice touch but she did say a sauna wouldn't be something she would be doing that often. Then again if she could share a nightly one with Mamoru then sign her up as could he soon be the first man in her life....

.... and the answer to that is sadly NO but at least Nao is still available! In that bottom screenshot Mamaoru made a return trip to Sayako's apartment to make sure all was well. It certainly was and she gushed about how fantastic her first ever home sauna turned out to be. But to Sayako's dismay he announced that he was leaving the company.... to travel to Finland as he's such in love with their saunas! Sayako didn't seem to be too heartbroken, haven't watched past the fourth episode but wonder if the finale will have her meeting a 'Bath King'?

I enjoy these briefer recaps and know many do too, perhaps that's why the first two posts received more views than usual. Following this post is the recap for episode four and for the first time we see the pair of friends Sayako and Aino together.
