It's actually August 20th when I'm writing this up and not sure when this will be posted. With the changes to Blogger trying to write up many posts in advance that would have a massive amount of pics, this is the first of the bunch and really hope there weren't many issues though doubt it....
This should be the first post you're viewing after my untriumphant return. No better way either as to me this could be the top Nogi photobook of the year, perhaps not #1 overall but it could be as I can't think of any others off the top of my head that surpass this though there could be. This was the first 'backup' post I wrote as I'm not sure at this time how long the break was and it all depends on how the new Blogger version works.
This is Miona's second photobook and it's really different than her first one. Both are superb but there's something that sets them apart and don't want to say which is better though I may lean to her first one. Originally this PB was scheduled to come out last November but then it got pushed back to January, then March and it eventually was released on May 27th. No fans can really explain why it kept getting delayed but during that time three other Nogi books came out so for some reason it seems management wanted those other gals to be in the spotlight first and why?
Sales for this photobook started out so-so, over 46,000 copies were sold in week one which is an impressive total for almost every Idol but perhaps not one from Nogi. To me the delays affected sales as Nogi fans only have so much $$ and four books in a sixteen week stretch is a lot of dough and especially when so many were out of work. This PB was in the top ten for sales it's first five weeks, then dropped out for two but made a reappearance for three more weeks. Total sales are now close to 70,000 copies sold which isn't too bad when you consider the circumstances and it seems this book will have some 'legs'. Her first PB that came out in 2017 has sold 75,000 copies and this should top it, not being able to hold an event for this book affected sales too.
At first I was kind of lukewarm on this book and perhaps it was because of the advance pics. Miona always looks terrific to me but those promo pics were so-so at best and especially when you compare them to the other Nogi books this year. However Miona simply looks fabulous in this book and was one reason she took over the top spot for this year's faves list. For her first PB Miona traveled to Las Vegas, for this book the photo shoots took place in Corsica and Nice, France. Three other '46' members have a PB set in France but they were all in Paris. On to the alluring pics, of course Miona looks too darn good to describe though it did look seem she lost a bit of weight but she always has been a thinnish gal.
