Slightly early means by about three days but there's some good reasons for doing this now. One is that it's impossible to have too many posts for Mai but yet this is her first solo one in exactly four months!!!! She's never had a long stretch like that before though did have a post for her appearance in the 'Nogi Cinema' drama. There's a good amount of pics for today but not as many as you would think for not having a post since April. But have noticed on occasion when I 'break the ice' for a massive fave the posts seem to come much quicker and let's hope that's the case for Mai.
The other reason is that on the 20th will be taking a bit of a break for a few days, perhaps just one but it could be a week. That's because of the impending changes to Blogger on the 24th which is supposed to make creating posts a bit more time consuming. So for the 3-4 days before the change want to work on having a backlog of posts in case the problems I've read about are true. Will do a post on the 20th to let you know exactly what's going on. But will have some dandy posts on that day such as two for the second preliminary list for this year's top faves. Have in my mind who the top five will be but after that have no clue at the moment, do know most of the gals who will be on the list but not their positions.
Because of this long stretch of semi-inactivity don't think Mai will be making this year's list but when another one is done for my all time top twenty she'll probably be in the top ten. As most Nogi fans know Mai is still with the group and may be for a while. Her three farewell concerts were supposed to take place between May 5th and 7th at the Tokyo Dome but of course were cancelled. Would think concerts won't be taking place until next year at the earliest so wonder if some sort of streaming performances would work out well?
One thing Mai hasn't done well to an extent is set herself up with many activities for when she leaves Nogi or perhaps it's part of her plan? She's not a model with any site or magazine these days plus no longer co-hosts a variety show nor has she been in a regular drama for eons. Mai has been quite busy the past eight years so a break was definitely needed but it's starting to become too long but she hasn't been entirely idle. Not many current pics for today's post but there are many from the past few years that have never been posted before. Even with all of the thousands of pics of her here there's still so many to get to, first off are these 2020 group cards that had been missed in prior posts.
Plus many special Nogi SR cards from the past few years and have many more of them for future posts, she doesn't have to ask me twice about being her Valentine....
The Autumn/Winter 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show will be held on September 5th. Members of Keya and Hina will be there but haven't noticed anyone from Nogi scheduled to appear and hope that changes. So let's go back in time which I've had to do for so many posts and have pics from the March 31, 2019 TGC Spring show. Did do a post for it but most of these weren't in that original post.
Mai was in a pair of CM's for Asahi Dry Beer that came out at the end of May. Not going to post any of them as they're not solo videos and she's only on screen for about ten seconds but do have some screenshots from a short 'Asahi Virtual Bar' video from that time which has been deleted. Have noticed that Nogi does have many members who enjoy a cold lager.
Her last solo post was done on April 20th so didn't have this set in that post but was in a Nogi group one as she was the cover girl for the May 21st issue of Young Jump.
Mai rarely does gravure pics these days but of course still looks beyond perfect, will we ever see a "Passport 2" photobook. Do have a pair of new spreads and once again she graces the cover which is for the August 24th edition of Aera.
That bottom pic is actually not from the spread but an advance one as she'll be the cover girl for the October issue of Biteki. One more new mag spread which is from the September Numero Tokyo.
At the end of May Mai had a few videos for Feliamo which is a contact lens site. Will have one video at the bottom which is quite good and these are from their site.
We've hit the end and after 374 posts what more can I say about Mai that hasn't been said before save that she's one of my massive faves of all time. It's not likely but still possible that when I do another 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' list she could have a shot at being #1 but needs to get back to being her usual busy self and another photobook may propel her to the top spot. Will end off with some ultra perfect pics which many have seen before but can you ever get tired of viewing them....
