Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Fuka Koshiba: Few more recent tidbits....

Fuka hasn't done too many gravure pics or spreads over the years, just enough of them to whet our appetite and does looks fairly good and know that bottom one was from her 2019 PB. It's not going to be easy but would love to see Fuka qualify for this year's fave's list. She'll need three more posts after this one, am holding back 15-20 pics for another post but having two more after that could be a bit difficult. So far twenty have qualified but would like to see that total increase to 25 or more. There are three others who have hit six posts but wouldn't be eligible as two are former number ones.

Have a strong feeling this year's list may consist of just sixteen faves which isn't a bad thing and the quality for this year may be at it's highest level ever. To end the post off have a very mini recap for her new drama that began on August 1st. Viewed it without subs though it was easy enough to follow. But just learned about an hour ago that the series will be subbed but didn't want to go back and watch it again so soon. Also want to wait until three or four shows have been subbed but more importantly want to finish Fuka's "Bishoku Tantei Akechi Goro" drama first, that aired from April until June. Recapped the first two episodes last weekend and hope to have another pair this weekend, this is one of the better shows I've viewed this year.

It's understandable why it's happened in 2020 but in the past few years Fuka has been someone who doesn't appear at many events, mainly for her dramas and films. But most of the ones she's attended haven't been included in these posts so will try to have some if there's no current ones. This batch is from an event that took place on July 23, 2019 for her "Beshari Gurashi" drama, it began four days alter. Actually looks like a decent show but have been trying to ween off high school shows though in her previous drama Fuka had been an OL and do like her hair at this event.

Fuka's new drama is titled "Youkai Sharehouse" and will have more info at the bottom of the post. She has the lead role in the series and has been doing many, many interviews for the show. Have a bunch of those pics for today but holding a few back for hopefully another post very soon, these are from the Real Sound site.

This batch is from the 'Yahoo! Japan' site.

Final set of Fuka interview pics are from Hustle Press.

Fuka has never been much of an Instagram/Twitter poster but has uploaded all of these in the last two weeks.

Have five Fuka mag spreads, two are newish ones but the others are a bit older but hadn't posted them yet as there was a long stretch with zero posts. Will hold back a few of them for that next post but none of them are that huge. Will go back to 2019 with the first two sets, top four are from the September issue of EX-Taishu while the others are from the September 8th edition of Flash.

That above spread was for Yuka's drama that had those event pics. This small set too is for a drama but her new and this way too small spread is from the August 11th issue of SPA!, she's the cover girl yet the spread was just two pages?!

As mentioned will end off with a mini recap for her new "Yiukai Sharehouse" drama that began on August 1st. For her next post will have more screenshots but those will be subbed, these for today are from the show's first twenty minutes and the series airs Saturday's at 11:15 pm on TV-Asahi. Fuka has the lead role of Mio who is a gal that is extremely down on her luck. Her ex-boyfriend had used up all of her funds and even borrowed money from a loan shark using Mio's name, now even the Yakuza are on her tail. Mio was down to her last five yen coin, she had wanted to throw it into a temple's wishing well but a horde of women rushing by bumped into her throwing that coin wherever, now she's down to nothing.

A very odd woman named Iwa witnessed the scene and brought Mio to her 'sharehouse' which was on the temple grounds. There a quartet of Yokai's lived, they're an ancient class of supernatural monsters though all have a human form. They heard Mio's sob story and for now are letting her stay at the house and may help her get back at the ex-boyfriend. She doesn't have the power yet but the Yokai's can communicate with each via telepathy. That took place in the first half of this opening episode and though not subbed think I was able to get most of the details and here's many screenshots from those first twenty minutes.

  2. it was a fun watch and bet it'll be even better when viewed with subs. Someone at D-Addicts did this first show and wouldn't doubt if there will be some hard subbed versions at NYAA soon.
