Third time have titled a post as an overdue one for her but can't put the blame on me as there's not many others I'd rather post about more. In 2020 Eun-Bin did have 41 posts(!), a record for a Korean actress but not really as 35 were for drama recaps and viewed three of her series last year. Bit overdue as this is her first regular post since August and that hurt her position on 2020's top twenty list. For the first time Eun-Bin qualified, she finished 18th but really wanted to see her in the top ten. But as long as she qualifies guess that's good enough for me, will make sure she has those six posts for this year's list. Don't really have any major goals for this year but one thing I want to see more of are posts for Korean actresses. There were plenty from 2017-19 but there was such a decrease in them for 2020 and seems like the virus curtailed their activities much more than Japanese actresses. But already have two posts for them this year and 2-3 each week would be a decent pace.
But have mentioned in so many dozens of posts how I prefer women like Eun-Bin over almost all gravure models and Idols though they do have many more posts. If you look at the top twenty faves lists you'll see so many other gals that are similar to her, for instance my #1 from 2020. However it's the actresses and Idols who dress skimpy that get most mag spreads and other modeling gigs, perhaps it's because I'm getting older but the more down to earth females like Eun-Bin appeal to me more.
If anything a stretch of years would work out well for a list, say my top dramas from 2016-20. Do often mention what my top show(s) of the year were and for the last five years it's been a Korean drama. Twice Eun-Bin has been in my #1 drama of the year, in 2018 it was "The Ghost Detective" and what an underrated show that was. In 2020 my top show was "Stove League" and that was just one of the most enjoyable series I've ever viewed. If you're a Baseball fan would recommend it and the title refers to the offseaon in Baseball. There was plenty of playing but it concentrated on what teams do during the Winter such as make trades, sign free agents, hire/fire coaches, sell tickets, etc. She played Se-Young in the show who was the only female operations manager in the KBL. Her team Dreams were cellar dwellers every year but a new GM was hired to shake things up and he certainly did, there never a dull moment in the drama.
Recapped the entire series and also did the same for her second 2020 drama, "Do You Like Brahms?". That was another fine show but it was impossible to top "Stove League", 'Brahms' was a very interesting but during the middle episodes it was just so darn depressing. Switched gears for the last few shows and think I gave it a solid rating of 8.6/10. By the title you may have guessed it was about music and you're right about that. In the show the main actors did play the instruments which is a rarity, perhaps it's never happened.
Eun-Bin's character Son-A was a 28 year old violinist who after graduating with a degree in Business returned to college to learn the violin and as mentioned she really did play the instrument so she must have spent so much of her free time practicing. It paid off as she was the winner of two awards at the 'SBS Drama Awards' show that took place on December 31st. Eun-Bin won the grand prize for Best Actress and also the Best Couple award with her partner from the series. She also won a Best Actress award for her performance in the "Stove League" drama and forgot to check if there was a ceremony for that awards show.
