Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nanase Nishino: Few more recent tidbits....

What I've noticed this past year is how few posts the gals who made the top twenty faves lists from 2015-17 get these days. Some have remained as busy as ever but the majority seem to have fallen by the wayside, no number ones in that three year stretch have had a post for about a year. That's kind of baffling as that three year period wasn't that long ago and most of those faves are between the ages of 26-30 so where have they disappeared to? Don't know or I wouldn't have mentioned it, perhaps a new project or feature should be one named 'Whatever happened to....?', let me investigate what's been going on with some of my old faves who really aren't that old.

Brought that up because why very few from the 2017 top twenty list have been getting posts almost everyone from 2018 still does. Nanase was #1 in 2018 and she gets just as many posts as she did back then, definitely more solo ones. Four others who made the top ten also get more posts these days and I have missed doing posts for some of my faves prior to 2018. It's easy to understand why some have slithered away for if they were a J-Pop Idol they rarely stay in the news for too long, really just a small handful from AKB or Nogi. Just three more posts to go and Nanase will hit the milestone of 400, her
ex-Nogi mate isn't too far behind Nanase for total posts but will never catch her.

This is Nanase's third post in less than a month, you'd think there wouldn't be many new pics then but bet the total is over 55 of them. Am also holding back one mag spread so her next post shouldn't be too far in the future. Besides acting and modeling Nanase is the co-host of two variety shows and has been doing them for many years now. One show is 'Gout Temps', at the beginning of each show the hosts promote the clothing they're wearing and these are from the last five shows.

The 'Hakozume' drama had a two week hiatus to air some specials. But it returned three nights ago and will be back to recapping it but may wait a week so there can be two recaps. Nanase plays a junior detective named Miwa and it's only a medium sized role. She's an okay actress but not so much when you compare her to the two female leads who are in the bottom two pics, mentioned it in her last post that her voice seems softer than ever these days.

"Korou no Chi Level 2" is the title of Nanase's new movie that was released yesterday and stars the hubby of the middle fave above. Have never seen the first film but the more I learn of it the more I want to view it and that's now near the top of my 'Have to watch' list. She's been doing the rounds to promote the film and these are interview pics from the Walker Plus site.

Nanase has the lead female role in the movie which appears to be suspenseful with a lot of action. More interview pics which are for Crank and here's the link to their site: Crank site

Some modeling pics from the Non-no site but not as many lately for all of their models.

One mag spread for today which is from the September issue of Non-no. Am holding back her October spread which is slightly bigger for Nanase's next post.

"Korou no Chi Level 2" was released on August 20th but the official premiere wasn't held until today, seems there's been very few events outside of premieres the last two months. It took place at the Marunouchi TOEI Cinemas in Tokyo and think it was streamed to most other cinemas nationwide. Kind of a conservative looking Nanase at the event but can't think of one time she hasn't looked that way at one. Pics here are from the event, instead of having a video from it will instead have the movie's trailer after the pics which hadn't been posted before.
