Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

'Top Twenty Faves' countdown for 2021: Position #16, the sultry yet affable.... Yuki Yoda!

Know her second photobook was quite amazing but that top pic will always be my #1 of her. If you've been reading the posts during the year plus the intro post done a few days ago you should have a good idea who the top sixteen faves of mine are this year. But this first position is a mini surprise and bet many wouldn't have picked her to make the list, she was a late decision but I think a wise one.

For the last 2-3 years my biggest beef about Nogi, besides how young they've become, is how less fun and interesting they've become and once again much of that has to do with younger members. However Yuki has bucked that trend and to me is the most fun gal in the group plus she's quite interesting. That second photobook has sold over 220,000 copies to date yet she doesn't appear to be as popular as other third generation members which is kind of curious. But not here as for the second year in a row Yuki's posts will be the most popular by a very wide margin. Really no breathtaking pics this year such as she had from her photobooks but that doesn't seem to matter to fans which is nice to see.

This is Yuki's tenth post of the year which kind of shocks me for that's the most of any current Nogi member for 2021. Six qualified for the yearly list but only two made the top sixteen though a pair did finish in the 17th and 19th positions. She just had a post a few weeks ago so didn't think there would be all that many new pics for today but there are 55 recent pics plus many other older ones so there may be a hundred in all. These posts for the countdown are really the same as regular posts but do try to save many new pics to make them massive and speaking of massive....

When is that third photobook going to come out?! So as mentioned a huge reason for Yuki making the list over her mates is because what a fun and interesting gal she is, beer is something she's taken to since she turned twenty and that's one thing we have in common! So have a few new things and some oldies, let's begin off with some recent pics from her Instagram page and these days very few members post at Nogi's blog except for special announcements.

Sadly there won't be many future pics with the above member who will be graduating in two months. Yuki is currently in the drama "Nihon Chinbotsu: Kibo no Hito", she plays a waitress named Ai and it's not a real large role. However she's in a spinoff from the series called "Saiai no Hito: The Other side of Midnight" that began on October 10th and she has the lead role in that drama. The first episode was just subbed and will be recapping the series once a few more are done, actually about five shows as they only last fifteen minutes but I'm looking forward to viewing it.

To me Yuki may be Nogi's best actress, she did a solid job in the "Grand Blue" film that came out in 2020. The group's "Zambi" drama was perhaps their best show to date and I enjoyed her character of Hijiri more than any other in the series. Of course by the title you can tell it's about Zombies, did recap the entire drama and at the end Hijiri herself turned into one of the creatures.....

There's been a huge amount of various Nogi cards this year but not so many from the past few weeks, the only ones are this set for the 'Nogi Fes' collection.

Hopefully there will be some new Nogi Christmas cards coming out but often it's after the holiday, have a few oldies from years past.

For that spinoff drama Yuki did an interview with the Modelpress site and I found it fairly interesting. Pics here are from the site and here's the link to the interview: Modelpress site

"The Time" is a variety show that features a Nogi member as a co-host and a Hina gal as a reporter. For the week of November 8th Yuki was a special guest where she was featured doing a morning run which actually may have also been from the set of that new drama. The segments were a little less than two minutes long and here's a video link to one of them: The Time variety show video

In 2020 Yuki won a major award for being the Idol that appeared on the most magazine covers. Don't think she'll repeat as the champion, to me a Hina member may be #1 this year and a Nogi member has won it five years in a row. But do have a superb new spread today and she is the cover girl for the November 30th issue of Flash, there's a few bonus pics from the photo shoot thrown in.

This turned out to be a superb post and most are for her, don't think every post on the countdown will be this terrific. At the end of December will be doing a few posts for what the most popular posts of the year were plus who the most popular woman is here and as mentioned it's Yuki by a wide margin! Will end off with some dazzling pics which most fans may have been waiting to view but then again I think all of the above new pics are quite oki doki. Yuki's a model for about four sites but don't have any new modeling pics for today which isn't a bad thing as that'll mean a post in December. One site she models for is Bis and after the pics have a newish video from them.
