Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Kyoko Fukada: "Palpito" photobook scans
Photobooks have always been popular in Japan and it seems like that's the only country that you can say that about. These days books seem more popular than ever as just about everyone from actresses, announcers, gravure models, Idols, etc. are releasing one. And why not as sales are higher than ever and wonder if much of the credit for this upsurge has to go to Nogi?
Kyoko didn't take her cue from them as her first photobook came out in 1998 when many of the members weren't even born yet! Since then the total has grown to nineteen books and wonder if anyone has released as many as her? Probably not as it means you'd have to be popular for twenty years such as Kyoko has been and not many actresses/Idols have had such longevity. Got me to thinking how many of the faves I post about have the potential to be popular twenty years from now? Not many if any as these days there's such a glut of actresses/Idols who are disposable, perhaps someone like Mai from Nogi could maintain her superstar status if she doesn't get married.
Getting hitched is something that Kyoko has never done, now and again there's a rumor of her dating someone but the rumors tend to dry up rather quickly. This PB was released on December 20, 2017 and was her 18th book to date, her nineteenth came out the following September. Last year there were no books from Kyoko who had released eight of them since she turned thirty back in 2012, just had a post for her last week and at 37 in age looks as good as ever. On to the pics and for her books she usually travels to Europe for the photo shoots, this PB was no exception for as you can tell the pics were taken in Italy. Title of the book "Palpito" means heart beating/throbbing and there's little doubt yours will at a fast pace after viewing these pics....
