Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The recherché 'Mai Shiraishi post' #50....
Guess you could consider fifty solo posts to be a milestone as it's a figure very few Idols have hit while in their group, can think of only one other who has hit that peak. Should be increasing that number too over the next two months before Mai's departure from Nogi, she has a film premiere in three weekends and the following week will be at the next 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show so would think 55 solo posts is within reach. Just had a Mai post on Monday and even though I promised to do this post was thinking there wouldn't be enough happenings in a few days for a decent post but think things turned out well, could just have those top two pics and it'd be a perfect post.
Probably an impossible feat but perhaps one day should post Mai's one hundred greatest pics, some are obvious like the above one but how can a person stop at a hundred? The Senbatsu lineup will be announced on tomorrow's 'Construction' show for Nogi's 25th single coming out on March 25th and it's highly unlikely anyone but Mai will be the center for the single. Thinking about it she hasn't had the honor too often, perhaps five times being the solo center and twice she shared it. Regardless, she's always been and always will be the 'Face of Nogi'. Not a slew of new things since that post five days ago but do have some recent Nogi cards that have never been posted here.
Mai's "Passport" photobook once again made the charts this week being the tenth best seller. The total is now 348,000 copies sold but #3 on this week's list has seen her total increase to 308,000 copies sold so soon "Passport" may not be the highest selling PB of all time. Have a pair of new mag spreads but thought I'd go back in time to revive an oldie which most have probably forgotten about. Mai's spreads save for a recent Friday set have become so conservative the past few years, she looks fabulous however she's dressed but think some fans are pining for a few new gravure spreads before her graduation. To me her looks may have changed more than any other Nogi member the past eight years, this set is close to five years old and is from the April 14, 2015 issue of Young Magazine.
Now on to the pair of new Mai spreads and you can compare how she looks compared to five years ago, this set is from the March edition of Ginger.
Nogi has a new drama series called 'Nogizaka Cinema's which has ten episodes, a different member will be featured in every show. Watched the first one which was fairly decent and the series will be subbed, Mai will be in one of the shows though don't know which one but will do a recap for it. Second spread is from the March issue of Smart which is promoting her upcoming film.
Going to presume Mai will be concentrating more on her acting career after she leaves Nogi. She is a smart woman but don't really think she has that personality or flair to be a variety show host but perhaps she'll prove me wrong. "Stolen Identity 2" is the title of her upcoming film and it's her most major role to date in a non-Nogi project. The film will be released on February 21st and hopefully there will be a screening or two before then. But there was a press conference held for it on Wednesday at the Iino Hall in Tokyo. The main cast was there and Mai has the lead female role in the movie, she looked her usual classy self at the event and wished she appeared at more of them. Plenty of pics from the event and surprisingly there's also a short video from it following the pics.
