Hinako Sakurai: Yes, even more happenings for everyone's new fave(no!)....

Hmmm, that could be an acute observation as Hinako may be the least popular fave with you viewers who I post about regularly. However her last post ten days ago has been one of her better viewed ones and has even topped many of the posts this month. Hinako has reached that rare stage where I don't need a huge amount of new things nor glamorous mag spreads to have a post for. Think today's is another decent one that has some new tidbits along with some golden oldies as there's still many happenings from 2016-19 to get to.

May as well get some older things out of the way first and unless I find some relics buried in an ancient tomb these two spreads are the final ones of Hinako's that have never been posted. First off is this set from the September 22, 2016 edition of Shukan Bunshun.

Other terrific spread is from the October 20, 2017 issue of Friday which was promoting Hinako's second photobook that came out the week before.

Have been slowly getting watching Hinako's "Secret Unrequited Love" show from a year ago, too slowly as there's just too many dramas I'm trying to view at once. Not sure if the entire series will be recapped but after two episodes it's been a decent show though may getting tired of dramas set in high schools and of a cast being 21-25 in age yet playing teenagers.
Hinako plays Mayu in the series who somehow passed the entrance exam to the elite Shindo high school. She wanted to go there so badly to reunite with her childhood friend Takuma. He has this rare disease and isn't expected to live past the age of twenty. He had broken away from Mayu some years before and when they met again he was quite cold towards her. However during the second episode he was becoming much more friendly with his old chum as the pair are getting much closer again.
Takuma isn't a bad chap and the main reason for him being cool towards Mayu is because of his disease, knowing he only has 2-3 years to live he'd rather not have Mayu suffer watching him die. Seems like a bit of a sad drama though to date it hasn't been at all but have a feeling once it gets closer to Takuma's death it'll be a real tearjerker.

There was an intense basketball game during that second episode and in real life Hinako is quite a fan. So much she mentioned on her Line blog that she already has tickets for all of the games for this year's Tokyo Olympics. Hinako did appear to have some skills on the court but definitely can only play a point guard as her height is just 160 cm. On the 17th she was at a Japan B-League game between Yokohama and Shibuya, don't think basketball is that popular in Japan.
She wore the uniform of the Yokohama Corsairs, the number four was what she wore when she was the captain of her high school team in Okayama. Hinako was on hand to participate in the halftime three point shooting contest and did watch a video of her shooting the ball. Seems she has an okay form and did hit five three pointers which seems a bit impressive. She was also promoting the video game Sega Sammy.

Will end off with these event pics which I like so much more and to me Hinako's adorableness is just off the charts, then and now. She voiced the character of Isabella in the "Transformer: The Last Knight" film and was at the Japanese premiere which took place on July 20, 2017 but the movie didn't officially open until August 4th. There's another batch of pics I'll have in a future post of her dubbing the character along with one more event for the film. Plenty of super duper pics from the premiere and following them is a video of Hinako's above event as you can watch her skills on the court, those cheerleaders leave something to be desired....
