**** EDIT: Unless a miracle happens can't think of a classic post to end 2020 off with. So what I'm thinking of doing is having a post for my all time top ten photobooks which should be one most will enjoy immensely. Just compiled the list which was my most difficult one ever! Wrote this up after the post was finished so it may make what's above and below sound a bit odd....
Kyoko is one of the very few woman who have made my heart beat twice as fast the second I laid eyes on her. It's only been about five at the most and two are gravure models, wonder who the other two are? That first second took place in episode one of the "Re:Mind" drama from 2017, it was the first time I saw any Hina members and just checked out the drama because I was a Keya fan. But of course the group wasn't known as Hina back then but Hiragana46 and them breaking away from Keya may have been one of the wisest decisions ever in J-Pop history. I really enjoyed the drama, not so much the one from earlier this year. You'd think with all of these lockdowns and distancing rules it'd be a perfect time for groups to film dramas and other shows but that hasn't been the case. Top pic is a promo one for the drama and haven't the member's looks really changed in three years?
Speaking of shows Hina had a Christmas concert streamed on December 24th and didn't think they'd have any shows this year. Will just touch upon it briefly for now and talk about it much more in their next group post. The name of their X-Mas concert was 'Obake Hotel', have viewed most of it and their songs sound so much better in concert. Plus the gals have so much energy and perhaps they have the most enjoyable concerts of any major J-Pop group these days. Thought there would have been more 'drama' in it but it was mainly them doing their songs, during them they had to defeat some 'monsters' to reach the hotel. Figured then there would have been some sort of party or gift giving but instead the performance ended there which kind of disappointed me. One surprise was seeing the return of such a fave member who had been out with health issues the past three months.
What was also quite good about that concert was that all 21 sang on the songs, not just the Senbatsu members, there are 22 in total though one was ailing but did make that brief appearance. Seems members have much more of a chance to shine in Hina versus the gals in Nogi who just have way too many members and that could be a reason for so many graduations. The group does have their own web game called 'Hinakoi' but have been a bit disappointed in the lack of promo cards or pics. As far as cards go there's many older ones from their time as Keya's sister group, have some here and by record sales you'd have to say Hina has eclipsed their older sister.
All of Hina's members are active on their group blog but by far Kyoko posts more pics than anyone. She must have at last two new ones a day if not more. These are from the past ten days and easily could have had four times as many if you include the entire month.
What I'm really hoping for is that those huge fashion shows resume in 2021, only one after March was held this year. So many '46' members are in attendance plus a vast amount of my fave actresses and models. Sure an audience wouldn't be permitted but why not have some 'virtual shows' like 'Tokyo Girls Collection' had in September? Speaking of TGC with no event pics have to go back in time for some and hard to top the way Kyoko looked at their March 2019 Spring/Summer show.
A goal for 2021 is to have the first 'trio post', have had so many featuring pairs. Sadly I can only think of one potential post that would feature three from Nogi's second generation. However the best one just may feature this trio of sweltering(to me) '46' members who are such huge faves. So huge they finished second, tenth and seventeenth on this year's list.
Will try to have another Keya group post right after the holiday, perhaps it'll be the first of the year and may try to have at least one group or solo post a week in 2021. What's a bit surprising is how few mag spreads there are for the group, they did have quite a few this year but not nearly as many as you would think. Here's the only official one for today which is from the November edition of BLT Graph, she's been their cover girl at least five times and about the same amount for Platinum Flash.
Will end off with this batch of pics which could be considered a 'preview spread'. They feature outtake pics from the February issue of UTB and Kyoko will grave their back cover, some mighty fine pics here! There's so many Hina videos on YT it's difficult finding just one for a post but think I may have found one. It's a rarity as it's subbed in English and it's from a 2017 'Keyakitte' show as they appearing on it back then, did she frighten you with that horror story....
That was after I decided this was going to be done today but this would have been an excellent choice for the final 2020 post, now I know what needs to be worked on the next two days. Kyoko just had a post two weeks ago and is the first Idol with two for the 'Nao 2021 year', it's also her fifth post since August. Thought her posts were becoming popular, they are to an extent but Kyoko is one of the more consistent gals I post about. This is her seventh overall post for 2020, one had a little over 700 views while the other five have all received between 440 and 500. Nothing wrong with that average and guess it means she has such a dedicated fan base here which hasn't increased too much.
Three weeks from today Kyoko's first photobook "Totteoki no Koibito" will be released. That means I'm hoping for a few posts next month and she's the early frontrunner to be #1 on next year's faves list. Here's a few new pics for the PB save for the top one which is too dazzling to leave out.
