Lot of celebrating but why wasn't I invited(?), couldn't afford my bar tab perhaps!? The WOW part is right on the money and have to give a huge thanks to you viewers as another record was set for fastest million views. When I talk about a record it means how many days it takes to go from say ten to eleven million, eleven to twelve and so on. The last seven times that increment has been done a new record has set for the fewest days and I'm truly stunned that a record was just set as the other one appeared untouchable. When I started this blog had no plan on anything such as how long it would continue, never thought I'd be here nine years. Also had no goals for views as I didn't know about those things, after one year the total just stood at 50,000 views.
So if that record was to be tied 14 million views would have needed to be hit on January 1st, it's fourteen days before that which means this new record is.... 111 days!!!! Now that's stunned me to no end and it's kind of a shame I'm not getting paid for anything and did start this blog off because of my love for Japanese dramas and actresses. But the theme has changed a bit over the years as there's been so many posts for Korean actresses and dramas, more importantly is that I began to post about Idols who are the most popular gals here, especially Nogi who needed this post as an excuse to imbibe....
Those are also the current top five most viewed posts, two are for this year's faves list and viewers have usually enjoyed that series. Have two more positions to go, will be doing number two this weekend and then the top spot two days after that post is done. Number one most should know by now but does anyone think they can guess #2? On with the stats and then will have some of the most popular posts of 2020. Took these screenshots about two hours ago and things haven't changed over the years, the numbers of course but not the percentages. Japan will always be #1 for most views, is it a case of many English speakers there or is because of the amazing pics?! Blogger changed to a new version three months ago so this is the first time I've posted any of their new stat charts though really not all that much changed.
As you can see the viewership has really increased over the years, guess there's nowhere to go but down which is okay by me just as long it doesn't drop to the level of eight years ago. On to the most popular posts for 2020, last year the list was ten but will do sixteen this time around. For today will have positions sixteen to eleven, then ten to one over the weekend. These stats were as of two days ago, the numbers will be a bit higher now but not my much and any increase wouldn't change a position. Last year Risa was number with a post that garnered 4,081 views at the time, obviously the total must be much higher by now. This year that figure would have ranked fifth(!) which goes to show how many more views this blog has been receiving, on to the first six positions. Will also have the link to the post if you want to view it.
#16.... Miona Hori, 1,844 views for her July 23rd 'Itsuka no Machiawase Basho' PB scans
Sigh, what a huge fave of mine she is and am I down in the dumps about her departure. But won't get into it now and wait until Miona's next post which may be this weekend. Last year 1,844 views would have placed eighth on the list and Idols don't dominate the list like you think they would have.
#15.... Mio Imada, 1,940 views for her "Last Shot" photobook post done on June 10th
I'm really curious how Mio will do on the post popular list which is determined by how many views their posts get. She's had six PB posts in 2020, this was the most popular of them but her regular posts don't seem to attract that many views though could be mistaken. That "Last Shot" book she says will be her final one doing gravure pics.
#14.... Kazusa Okuyama, 1,967 views for her January 31st post 'Pair of new mag spreads'
Most posts in the top sixteen were for photobooks but five weren't, this is one here. Even more than the above gal am extremely curious how Kazusa will do on the most popular list, none of her posts made the top ten but overall her posts seem to receive more views than anyone else. Almost had a post for her today, didn't happen but think you'll be seeing it in a few days.
#13... Kazusa Okuyama, 2,167 views for her 'Trio of mag spreads' post done February 25th
Didn't screw up the stats as these two posts were that close in views, surprised the post done in July for her PB didn't make the cut. Kazusa is just one of two gals who appear twice on the list, the other also had two posts that will back to back in the top ten.
#12.... Elaiza Ikeda, 2,414 views for her June 6th post 'Pinturita' photobook scans
Don't think I missed any posts but that's a large gap between thirteenth and twelfth. This is a bit of a shock, not that it made the list as it has been a very popular post. However I expected this to get many more views as so many viewers are head over heels with Elaiza and who can blame them! Count me in too and she's so difficult to post about which is a shame as there aren't many more whose regular posts draw more views than her.
#11.... Sayaka Tomaru, 2,461 views for her June 7th 'Mee Tomaru' PB scans
Here's a person I almost overlooked and this one is also a surprise though it shouldn't be. That's because Sayaka is one of the most popular gravure models here and she's made lists like this one before. Reason I almost forgot about her as it's been a while since her last post, she's just had one after this one was done. That wraps up today's mini list and will be back over the weekend with the top ten.
