Mio Imada: Wouldn't she have made for the best Christmas present you received this year(ever)?!
Of course the answer to that question is a resounding YES! and I'm starting to run out of superlatives to throw Mio's way. What an immense fave of mine she's been for over two years now and it's kind of surprising then that she only finished 12th on this year's list. Then again when you look at the eleven above her it's kind of easy to understand as this year's top dozen were the strongest ever. At first Mio wasn't all that popular here but that didn't stop me from doing posts for her, she's averaged over one a month since her intro post 29 months ago.
So everyone must be so pleased I'm so stubborn and continued to post about her. In 2019 Mio's posts had an average of 424 views which was 22nd out of 32 gals with six or more posts. This year that average views for a post skyrocketed to 827 and she ended up being the fourth most popular woman for 2020. However she did have six posts for photobooks which had an average of well over a thousand, these kinds of Mio's posts still don't draw a huge amount of views but many more than last year.
Gulp, aren't we the ones who need that fan after viewing those above pics?!?! The main reason for so many recent Mio photobooks is that she doesn't do gravure pics or spreads these days, over a year ago she said she would cease doing them and has kept her word. So that lack of new gravure pics is the #1 reason these kinds of posts don't get as many views as those books do which are from older photo shoots that took place in 2018-19. But to me these new Mio pics are all so super duper and the spread to end off with is one her best ones in a while. Mio has her own official website, don't think I've ever posted the link to it before and you can visit the site by clicking on it: Mio's official site
Mio was such a busy model from 2017 to 2019 but really slowed down this year. But seems like she's getting back into modeling lately and to me this batch of pics from the Uniqlo site are tough to top.
She was at a Christmas event for them back on November 17th which I think is Mio's only appearance at one this year. So that means no new pics in that vein for today so let's go back in time for a set which is just so super duper. The occasion was the 'Kansai Collection' show that took place on August 27, 2019 at the Kyocera Done in Osaka and these are some mighty fine pics....
Do have a few more new modeling pics but will save them for her next post. Mio is just so popular in Japan and when she appears in a mag she's usually the cover girl. She has the honor for both of today's spreads and this first one is from the January 16th issue of Weekly Shonen Champion.
That above set is so terrific but prefer this final set from the January 8th edition of Friday and how about that bottom pic!!!! Following the pics have a video which hadn't been posted before, it's from Vogue and Mio was their Vogue Girl' of the month for April 2019.
