Rena Takeda: Bet you thought you'd never hear about her again....

 

 It's okay if you did think that way for I did too! From 2017 until late 2020 only a handful of women had more posts than she did but sadly they've been far and few since then. Rena's last post was done in May 2023, before that it had been September 2021 and if you're like me then you have missed her! But for so long there wasn't all that much to post about her, she did appear in many dramas but for well over three years didn't do much else such as appear in magazines.

 From late 2016 until January 2020 Rena was one extremely popular gravure model and what a massive fan base she had here! But in January 2020 she did 'retire' from gravure modeling and has kept to that as she's had zero of those photos since then. Which was also the main reason for her not appearing in more magazines or doing other kinds of modeling though think she was also concentrating more on her acting career. But in the last ten months there has been a decent amount of mag spreads though none feature gravure pics, it is true I miss those but still do like Rena quite a bit. So my plan is to have another post shortly after July 27th as that's when she celebrates her 27th birthday and hard to believe she's not that far away from thirty! As a matter of fact the woman in the post below this also has a birthday on that date.

 Am gong to hold back two mini magazine spreads plus a large one for that birthday post but still have five spreads for today. Plus in that next post will have some pics from the premiere of the "Oi Handsome!" movie that opened two days ago. There were two seasons of this TV drama, I came so close to watching the first one as it also stars two other faves of mine but there just isn't enough time to view everything that I would like to. However have seen Rena in at least five dramas and two films but none from the last two years. The pics below are from the movie's first screening that took place on May 28th and to me she looks better than ever!

 This was one of my patented 'Spur of the moment' posts so didn't leave myself a lot of time to work on it. However did have six mag spreads from the past year plus some oldies so it was just a matter of time until this post was done. The rest of the post will feature five mag spreads, three are brand new for here while the other two are so old bet you've forgotten about them! First up are a pair of spreads for Weekly Ascii which is a tech magazine but for their covers usually have an actress such as Rena was for their May 30th and June 6, 2023 issues. She also was the cover girl for two more of their issues back in March of this year and will have those in her next post.

 This set is brand new and is a large spread from the July 4th issue of Young Jump. It's the sixteenth time Rena has been their cover girl but first in 4 1/2 years. The magazine is celebrating their 45th anniversary and will be having some special digital books for the occasion for their most popular models. She will be in one of them which will have some new photos but also many outtake ones from her many photo shoots for the magazine. I really like the way Rena looks in the new pics and the spread does show her old covers.

 Rena's last spread with Young Jump before the new one had been way back in 2020 for their January 30th issue and it's final mag gravure spread to date.

 While that above spread featured her last gravure spread the last gravure photo shoot Rena had was for the WPB magazine and this spread is from their January 1, 2020 issue. You can see how in the first pic there's a reference to this being the end of her gravure career and there's another mention of it in one of the bottom pics so in a way this is an historical spread!!!!
