Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Ji-Woo: Her first mini intro post....
Very quickie intro post here as I'd like to set a record and get this done in about five minutes. The following three posts are for the mini series "The Universe's Star" which Ji-Woo has the lead role in. If you search for her there's also another actress with the same name who is much older. Think there will only be two Ji-Woo intro posts, will have another with event pics and the majority of this one features them too.
As mentioned just finished viewing the mini series "The Universe's Star" which I really enjoyed and gave it a rating of 8.8/10. That's a bit high for a semi-romance drama but it was a serious one with an odd plot to it. That's of Ji-Woo playing a Grim Reaper in the drama, at first she was then halfway through turned back into a human until her death. All of the details are in the next three posts but thought I'd have a primer post for it, few screenshots from it and there's over 200 I took.
The drama ran from January 26th until February 9,2017 and there were a total of six episodes that averaged 32 minutes. In the show Ji-Woo's character is 22 in age so was surprised to learn she was just nineteen when this drama was filmed. On January 18th there was a press conference for the drama which took place at the MBC Golden Hall in Seoul.
Ji-Woo is taking a mini break from acting but she should be returning by the end of the year, she was terrific in the drama. Reason for the break is that she's attending Konkuk University and think she's close to finishing her studies. Her last drama was the second season of "Age of Youth", been meaning to watch both seasons and now I will make a harder effort at it. The second season began on August 25, 2017 and the week before the main cast was in attendance for a press conference.
