Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Aqours: Few new mag spreads and other tidbits from another forgotten fave....

Forgotten is the wrong word as them being erased from my mind didn't happen. For the first time in a long time the nine members were a bit quiet but just as a group. Then again most of today's things are solo pics and as a group they have done very little this year but that'll be changing this Summer. But individually the nine members are as busy as ever, it's hard to believe how many animes they're voice actresses for plus they usually sing the theme songs.
What's difficult is searching for them as when you type in Aqours or Long Live Sunshine you get the anime pics or videos. Which means you have to search by the member's names and because of that bet there's some group activities that are missed. Aqours just released their fifth concert DVD and what a fun show they always put on. At the top is a subbed version of them doing "Happy Party Train" in concert which just may be the group's biggest hit.... it was deleted.

As you can tell 'Next Sparkling' is the title of the fifth DVD. Aqour members usually do appear in many magazines but surprisingly hadn't appeared in any since January until very recently. As mentioned they may be the hardest workers in the entertainment industry in Japan so they really did deserve a bit of time off.
Some of the members are branching out by themselves with solo songs or albums. One is Shuka who will release her first solo single in August. Will check up on it for their next post but she may also be having another photobook, her previous one came out last August which when her birthday is. In the 'Long Live Sunshine' animes she does the voice of Yuu Watanabe, she's probably also done a few hundred other voices in shows. She has today's first mag set and all of them are solo ones, this set is from the April 26th issue of Big Comic Spirits.

Arisa may be the group's most popular member or at least here she is. She's done a few huge gravure pictorials which everyone seemed to love but don't think she's ever had a regular photobook. Back in January she appeared in a pictorial for WPB-Net Extras, it was volume #739. But she did it with someone else and am not going to post about that person or at least for a while. So these are her solo pics from the spread.

Arisa does have a solo spread which is from the June 28th edition of Young Animal. She's the cover girl too and the members had the cover for all of today's three regular mag spreads.

My fave member by far is Rikako and yesterday she just released her first mini album, have it but haven't listened to it yet. Title for the mini album is "Principal" and the top pic is one of it's two covers. The others are from an interview promoting with the Excite site, four pics are from that with the following seven being from another interview with Utaten. Pics on the bottom are from her blog.

First Rikako post here was last May(?) or about thirteen months ago. That post was for her mini photobook for Young Jump and she looked so darn fabulous in the set but don't think she's had a regular PB though she certainly deserves one. She has today's final spread and these terrific pics are from the June 27th issue of Young Jump.
