Did a list such as this to start off 2019 which covered the entire year of 2018. That post did garner quite a few views so decided it needed to be done again though with a few variations. Will have two of them for this year with this first one covering the first half of 2019 which naturally means the next one will cover the second half of the year and will do it in late December.
But threw another wrinkle into things as this first half covers the period from December 1st to May 31st. Thought it was a bit unfair to include a post done on June 10th or thereabouts, even though they may be popular they haven't had enough time to accumulate enough views. So they'll be included in the end of the year post. Plus I figured a post done in December didn't have enough time to attract many views which was correct as zero made last year's list. Noticed that Oricon does their lists that way for sales of singles, albums and photobooks which I thought was a good idea so that's what I've done for today.
The view stats are from June 22nd, figured three weeks into this month was enough time for any May posts to garner enough views and one from the month did make the list. Have to admit some of these most popular posts have shocked me, especially positions 8, 5 and four. What may be a bit surprising to some is who didn't make the top ten list, could have made it twenty but there was such a huge gap between the top and 20th positions.
Of course all know that above is Rena and while she may be the most popular gal here none of her posts made the top ten though four ended up between 11th and 20th. Next week will have that post for most popular women by post view averages, a list such as that she could top. Also failing to make the top ten was Nanase, after being perhaps the most popular person here in 2018 she's really slid. All of her posts still gather many viewers but not one post made the top 15 though Nogi is well represented....
Actually they're too well represented as six posts made the top ten, two were group posts. On the list a pair of gals each had two entries and had forgotten all about one of them who made the sixth and second positions. Lately there's been more variety with the women making the most viewed list so hopefully the second half will include some others than '46' gals. But you do have to expect them to be the most popular posts here as I think that's what attracts the most viewers. And that number has been increasing, can't give an exact figure but to me it seems the views on posts are 30+% higher than they were a year ago, many who didn't make the list would have last year with their totals.
On to the top ten and will be working backwards up until number one. Will list the name of the person and the title of the post along with total views and the date it was done. Will also have the link to that post in case you want to view it, will be including four pics from each post and first off is....
Number ten
Mai Shiraishi.... 'The Mai Shiraishi post #37- BLT Graph 'White' mini photobook pics
1,180 views, done on December 9th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2018/12/nogizaka46-mai-shiraishi-post-37-blt.htmlMai's only entry for this list though wouldn't doubt if she's the most popular of anyone who made it. This post barely made the list too as 11th was only about thirty views behind and her solo posts have really slowed down. Think there's only been four for this year and have been trying to work on a new one but having a hard time as there just haven't been as many new pics from her as there once was.
Number nine
Risa Watanabe.... 'The ultra transcendent Risa Watanabe post #17
1,265 views, done on April 14th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/04/keyakizaki46-ultra-transcendent-risa.htmlAt one time Risa's posts were anything but popular but that's certainly changed this year. Her popularity has increased so much wouldn't be shocked if she made the upcoming list for view averages and so far this year she's had more solo posts than anyone. She's also just one of two gals to have two appearances on this list and for a while thought this Risa post would be #1 for the year.
Number eight
Mariya Nagao.... 'Bit of an overdue post....'
1,348 views, done on February 28th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/02/mariya-nagao-bit-of-overdue-post.htmlYou will notice there's almost a two hundred view difference between the eighth and tenth positions. This was definitely surprising to me and guess I better work on a few new posts for her. Mariya has been one of the more popular women here since she graduated from AKB in 2016, know she's also an actress but the reason she's become so popular is because of her gravure spreads and not many have done the total she has the past two years.
Number seven
Risa Watanabe.... 'The idyllic Risa Watanabe post #19!'
1,360 views, done on May18th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/05/keyakizaka46-idyllic-risa-watanabe-post.htmlNumber seven but currently #1 in Nao's heart!!!! This is the newest post done as it only had five weeks to accumulate it's views but it has such a terrific set of pics it's easy to see why viewers have been flocking to it. Risa also has the most popular post done since June 1st so we should see her again on the end of the year list. Risa's birthday is on July 27th and am trying to do a pair of posts between now and then, she just had another superb mag spread that came out yesterday.
Number six
Erika Ikuta.... 'Yet another jaw-dropping Erika Ikuta post!!!!'
1,567 views, done on January 31st
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/01/nogizaka46-yet-another-jaw-dropping.htmlErika is the other person who has two entries in the top ten and was the fave I had forgotten about. Since her "Intermission" photobook came out we've seen so little of her in mags or at Nogi events though she is busier than ever with her stage plays. Those pics from the PB are something else and when it eventually does get posted am positive it'll be the most popular post of the year.
Number five
Hinako Kitano.... 'The Hinako Kitano post #9....'
1,678 views, done on December 26th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2018/12/nogizaka46-hinako-kitano-post-9.htmlThis is the second post from late 2018 to make the list and it was a very late one as there were only five days left in the year. Will have to say this was the most shocking post to make the top ten and it's quite a pleasant surprise it did. Hinako is one my massive Nogi faves of all time and nice to see so many others seem to like her too. This post was for her first photobook which came out on the same date, it was a solid seller with 55,000 copies sold and she looked so dazzling in the post.
Number four
Yui Imaizumi.... 'Her illustrious first graduation post!!!!'
1,780 views, done on February 25th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/02/yui-imaizumi-her-illustrious-first-post.htmlThis position was another huge shock but it shouldn't have been as it was on the list for most viewed posts for about a month, tend to forget about some posts/faves that are getting a bit old. Did have another Yui post in April which wasn't nearly as popular but am working on another one for her, she really packs such dazzlement in such a small body.
Number three
Nogizaka46.... '2019 Magazine scans #7....'
2,084 views, done on March 14th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/03/nogizaka46-2019-magazine-scans-7.htmlHad thought about not including group posts but then said if so many viewers enjoyed it there's no reason not to have this and the other one which made the list. Of course it was a fine post but in all honesty think there's been five better Nogi group posts for the year. It was only two weeks before Misa's graduation, shame her final solo post didn't make the cut or even top twenty!
Number two
Erika Ikuta.... 'The Erika Ikuta post #9... even more second photobook pics....'
3,070 views, done on January 21st
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/01/nogizaka46-erika-ikuta-post-11-even.htmlMassive difference between the second and third posts, almost 1,000 views. This was the time that Erika had released her massively popular second photobook which has sold about 280,000 copies to date. Any post back then with her name on it was a guaranteed winner and wish I could have done more of them. As a matter of fact her January 31st post has been her last solo one to date.
and on to.... NUMBER ONE!
Nogizaka46.... '2019 Magazine scans #6....'
3,125 views, done on March 7th
https://aitoda.blogspot.com/2019/03/nogizaka46-2019-magazine-scans-6.htmlThis post was only done a week before the third most popular post. It was shortly after Nanase's graduation though those pics were in a solo post for her. Just like their other post not sure why this one was so popular, over 2,000 more views than the tenth place post. Then again every Nogi group post is definitely worth viewing but kind of surprised there weren't more solo posts in the top ten.
