Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: A lot of this and that for 2019 #12....

Here's someone we haven't seen enough of the past year(s) but have plenty of pics for her today, of course I'm referring to Kazumi who is such a huge Nogi fave of mine. Probably too early to think of an all time member list but when it happens in the distant future can see her claiming either the third or fourth spot on that. Second would have been a possibility had she been busier the past two years, actually she has but Kazumi has been doing a few activities outside of Nogi.
Think this will be a fairly big post for today but not a huge variety of things but there could be well over a hundred pics, haven't bothered to count. For those interested the group's 23rd single "Sing Out!" sold 17,200 copies last week to bring the grand total to 1,063,000 copies sold. They're one of only two groups, possibly three, that always break the million mark in sales but this single has sold much worse than the previous three. Asuka is the center and have nothing against her as it's not her fault for the decrease in sales but to me Nanase leaving has to be a huge reason. No competition either as AKB, SKE, NMB or others haven't released a single in a while, had a feeling they peaked sales wise two singles ago and sadly my presumption was correct.

Hate to admit but sometimes I forget about Mai. Try to keep her pics in solo posts but there haven't been nearly as many as usual for her recently, then again haven't been keeping tabs on her. But promise to work on a post for her real soon and with any luck it'll happen within the week.... that is, if I can ever get her to leave my place.... now that I think about it, why would I want her to leave!?

Not much for the other Mai either and also promise to have a '2019 greatest hits' post for her soon. She's still the host of the 'All Night Nippon' show and these are some pics from this month.

Have a pair of mag spreads, will have one here at the top and will end the post off with the other one. Since Erika released her second photobook five months ago don't think she's appeared in a spread nor has she done many Nogi activities. But she's been keeping busier than ever with her stage plays, so busy kind of surprised she's still with the group. This set is from the July 2nd issue of Kansai Walker and it continues a recent Nogi trend. Seems that their spreads have become more conservative than ever the past few months though admit all of the spreads have been terrific. But it's also Summer time so kind of wish the gals would stop dressing like it's the middle of Winter.

Sure many fans know that Kazumi wrote a book titled "Trapezium", it's been quite a solid seller as 200,000 copies have been printed. The book is about a young girl dreaming of becoming an Idol, very curious if she could write a novel about something completely different than that theme. On June 19th she was at the Bunka bookstore where there was a question and answer session held for it. The subject of it being made into a film was brought up and seeing as how it's a book written by a Nogi member would think the chances are somewhat fair it could happen.

Think that new hairstyle looks so super duper on her. On July 5th Nogi's second documentary will be released, did watch the first one which was okay but let's face it, Idols girls don't have nearly the struggles of so many others in the world. Have seen two AKB ones too which carried the same theme, we Idols versus the world and while all that I've viewed have been good they can go overboard a bit. Top pic is the film's poster while the others are some stills from it.

Hope you're not tired of Kazumi as I'm certainly not as there's even more new pics of her and she once again looked stupendous. But she wasn't the only one as she was joined by four other members on June 25 at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills. There a screening was held for the documentary, first one didn't have any third generation members though this one will. Such as having a feature on Minami who was in attendance, watching her segment may be worth the price of admission as very few Idols look hotter than she does these days.
That reminds me and the thought just came into my head. Nanase's DVD for her farewell concert will be coming out tomorrow and that's one I'll certainly check out but may need a box of Kleenex handy! Haven't heard but keeping my fingers crossed there will be an event for the release as we haven't seen enough of her recently. Plenty of pics(sixty!) here from yesterday's screening and at the bottom of the post is the trailer for it, there's one mag spread after these pics. Also there was Manatsu who is also looking oki doki and Asuka who is seemingly at every Nogi event.

Always try to end off with a batch of ultra superb pics and with this member it's rather easy to do. Am talking about Minami who I've been kind of head over heels for lately, she doesn't need to appear in gravure spreads to look magnificent. She's also the cover girl for this final set of pics which are from the June 27th edition of Weekly Shonen.
