Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nanase Nishino: Few recent happenings....
Nanase's posts are usually the largest of anybody but that won't be the case with this post. One reason is that she hasn't had one for well over a month which is an eternity around here for a Nanase and she's inching ever so closer to hitting the 400 post mark. Another reason is that I expect there to be another post in about two weeks, had I held on to today's pics that upcoming post would have been too large. Nanase will be the cover girl for two mags coming out at the end of the month plus will have some info about her new drama that is about to begin.
If I do another 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' it'd probably take place towards the end of 2021 which would be three years after the first one was done. Couple of years ago would have thought there's no way Nanase would even make my top fifty but I'd be very surprised if she wasn't in the top ten and has an excellent shot at being in the top five. I seem to like her so much more since she left Nogi and wonder how many others think that way?
"Unsung Cinderella" was supposed to begin airing in April but because of the health crisis the filming for the drama had to cease. But it resumed in June and now the official start date for the series will be on July 16th or this Thursday. Have been taking a bit of a break from dramas and am on a mini movie marathon stretch. But that's a show I'll be checking out and will try to have at least one post for it if it gets subbed. There's one other Japanese drama I'll be viewing that's beginning this week.... actually just occurred to me there's two other series starting this week I'll be viewing.
Back in April Nanase did a few interviews at some sites promoting the drama and hope she will do a few more this week, there also had been a few mag spreads for the show. There has been one recent interview for the series which was with the BarfOut site.
Those may have been in black and white but doesn't Nanase look so magnificent?! Doubt if there will be an event for the drama which is a shame as we haven't seen her at one for over five months but sadly that's been the case for so many of my other faves. So let's once again go back in time for an event which was the September 2, 2017 'Tokyo Girls Collection' Autumn/Winter show. She took two strolls on the catwalk, first for 'Shoplist' and then for 'Cecil McBee'.... whew....
Always have many new pics of Nanase from the Non-no site which is the case for today but not as many as you would think considering her last post was seven weeks ago.
Nanase will be the cover girl for Non-no's September issue. Will end off with this huge spread from their July/August edition which may be the final time they need to combine two issues. After the pics is a short promo video for the "Unsung Cinderella" drama which features it's theme song.
