Nogizaka46: The ultra effervescent 'Mai Shiraishi post' #58!!!!

 

 That is a high total of solo posts for an Idol yet it seems as though she should have more, when I can get some free time will be going back to check of they were counted correctly. Then again perhaps that figure is right as for the first few years almost all of Nogi posts were group ones. October 28th is Mai's departure day from Nogi and it's really not a sad occasion. We all knew the day was coming and it easily could have taken place two years ago.

 On that day Mai will be holding some sort of special 'farewell party' but has kept the details a secret. Sure there will be a few songs performed and I'm really hoping some first generation graduates will visit for the celebration. Nogi does things right, while the only way Keya members leave is via a scandal or depart on the same day as their resignation that doesn't happen with Nogi. So often there's a concert for the member and also many times they've had a farewell photobook, obviously Keya hasn't learned from it's bigger and wiser sister!

 Exactly two years ago did my 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' which was fun to do but much harder than you would think. My plan for now is to have another one a year from now, a gap of three years seems like enough time for newbies to show why they deserve to be on the list. Would think about half from the first list won't be on the second one, most of the top ten would but not the second ten. However Mai will be on the next list, she finished 15th on the first one which may seem low but at the time was the correct spot. If she remains somewhat busy after her graduation can see her battling out for #1 and don't think she would finish out of the top five.

 But it is kind of odd how Mai has never finished in the top ten for a yearly list but just may be my number one of all time. However she does have a good shot this year for finally gaining that spot in the top ten, will have the third and final preliminary list in about three weeks. Mai's last post was just 26 days ago so obviously there's not a huge amount of new things. About 35 recent pics since that last post and really wanted to post the final set of pics in this post for her fans. Do have at least 35 older pics which are all new for here so in a way you could say there's seventy new fabulous pics for all to enjoy. Those older ones are mainly Nogi cards, these aren't exactly old as they are from 2020.

 Sort of recent cards here too which are from last November. The batch is for Nogi's 24th single "Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakutemoii" and that last word doesn't roll off your tongue to well!

 One more set which are SSR cards which are for special occasions. Nogi has cards for almost everything from singles, tours, birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, etc. but have never seen any devoted to graduations. They could probably design some fancy looking ones that had pics from the member's entire history with Nogi.

 Though of course there's plenty of graduation attire for all fans to purchase!

 Of course with the crisis still going on Mai and other Nogi gals haven't been able to appear at events. Hope when things settle down she'll resume attending them as no woman looks more classy at events than she does, these are from a Maquillage one held in December 2017.

 Also am hoping that Mai will keep appearing at those large fashion shows and don't know why she wouldn't. Really don't know what her exact plans on after leaving Nogi but she doesn't seem like a person who will disappear for a long stretch and hope marriage is a far off event. This set here is from the Spring 2017 'Girls Award' show held that year in May at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium.

 Now on to some current pics and will try to have a post before the October 28th finale, may also have a post or two of the 'special party' if it gets subbed. Mai is no longer an model for any mag or fashion site but that's by choice as every place in Japan would love to sign her up. This mini spread is from the October edition of Nikkei Entertainment.

 Mai is the cover girl for the November issue of With, would think many of the mags she's appeared in often over the years would have some graduation spreads coming out.

She's got some really entertaining videos and do recommend them, some recant ones are of her cooking and playing a video game. What I'm really looking forward to is her special Memorial Magazine that will be coming out in two weeks. It's not quite a photobook but it's supposed to be so large it could be considered one. More importantly it's got Mai's first gravure pics since her dazzling "Passport" photobook and these advance pics may be better than that perfect PB.... wowowowowowowowowow!!!!
