Rena Takeda: Does anyone remember this one time mega fave of everyone?

 

 That's a good question at the top and hopefully the answer is most do remember. Hard to believe it but this is Rena's first post for 2021(!), that's after having 74 in the previous four or so years. During that stretch not many gals here topped Rena's popularity, think her posts had the second or third highest average of views during that period which is so impressive. But towards the end of 2019 Rena 'retired' from doing gravure spreads and photobooks which are what made her so popular. Really can't say her decision was right or wrong as she had been doing gravure pics for many years and perhaps she was just getting tired of doing them as she wanted to concentrate on her acting career.

 Guess you would have to say Rena's acting career has been successful as she has been in quite a few dramas, three this year but none have been hits which isn't a bad thing. Lot of them have been late night dramas which are usually better, was checking out what she's appeared in this year and if I can find any subbed may view at least one of them. But one major consequence of Rena 'retiring' from doing gravure spreads/books is that she doesn't appear in nearly as many magazines, only three spreads this year and she used to average about twenty for a year. Not complaining about the lack of new hottish pics as she does look good in today's pics but I'm like many of you and do miss pics like these older ones....

 This is also a 'Happy 24th Birthday' post as Rena will be hitting that age on the 27th. Doing this now as I'd rather concentrate on doing a post for a much bigger fave of mine who also celebrates a b-day on the 27th, so doesn't one other forgotten SKE gal.

 Considering this is her first post of the year it's not a large one, perhaps only forty new pics as there's been no event appearances nor hardly any modeling pics. Do have a few IG pics since the beginning of June but she doesn't post many of them and did stop updating her blog.

 On to the trio of mag spreads and with Rena not doing gravure pics is that why she doesn't appear in many mags these days? You would think so but then again perhaps she just grew a bit tired of doing photo shoots, this small set is from the March issue of BLT Graph.

 Another small set but Rena was the cover girl for the April edition of Hot Dog.

                                                      

 Surprisingly on July 28th Rena will be releasing a photobook titled "Rubeus" but it's not a return to her gravure days, few promo pics for it.

 This final set from the August 2nd issue of Big Comic Spirits features many more outtake pics from the book. This is a decent spread but with no gravure pics how many copies could it be expected to sell?  After the pics is a video from this photo shoot and Rena does look quite good in it, think BCS is putting out this new PB.
