Having a monthly post for the 'Uni's on Air' promo pics has quickly become a new tradition as this now makes five months in a row. But it's much more than just those game pics as I can also relate some info about the members, have some other news or recent pics and like for today the first mini recap for a 'Soko' show since March. Could have waited on this post for a few days as the 'Uni's' site often doesn't have all of the members pics until a week of a new month has passed. Which isn't a bad thing as I'd like to have another group post this weekend and that's when you'll be seeing the four(?) missing members. Up at the top here is Rei, after three solo posts that only drew a so-so amount of views her fourth one done two weeks ago has been immensely popular, these photos at the top are from her photobook.
This may be a massive post so let's get right to things. On the first of each month there's new photos a the Keya site with a short message from the members, there hadn't been a group post for almost a month so didn't have a chance to post those monthly pics for April which were these.
That's
Yumiko at the bottom, three days ago she graduated from Keya and it was mainly due to her health. Let me work on having a few more final pics for her and will have that in the next group post.... or the one after, these are from her final performance.
Before we get to the 'Uni's cards how about some group ones which don't come out on a regular schedule. Will have two members who are
Fuyuka and
Mizuho, top three cards for each are from Keya's last single "Sakurazuki" which has only sold 385,000 copies to date, the other four for both are regular cards for March.
Just had a thought, there's eighteen members left so will have ten of their 'Uni's on Air' web game pics for today and the other eight once the site has everyone. So will have two batches of five members and these are all new for May, leading off will be the four first generation members and one 2G gal. First off is
Yui and what more can I say about her(!), there's a 'Girls Award' show taking place tomorrow which she'll be at so expect another post for her this weekend. Also attending the show will be
Mizuho and may have her photos from it in the next group post. The other two 1G members are
Minami and
Rina who I promise to have another solo post for. Rounding out this batch is
Rei, her photobook sold a little over 28,000 copies in it's first week out and wonder if management was expecting the total to be much higher?
Before we get to the rest have two other sets. When a member has a birthday in a month they get an extra four photos but they don't come out right away. So these first four are for
Hikari who turned 24 on April 17th, she's the second oldest 2G member. The other pics are for
Marino for when the post for the April game pics were done they weren't at the site but were later added in.
Here's the other five second generation members for this post and the other eight should be in the next group post. Leading off this set is
Rena who has been my number one 2G member for a while and is also overdue for a solo post.
Hono follows her and lately her newish hairstyle reminds me so much of
Shiho from Hina. After her are the other two of three in Keya named
Rina, first off is
Inoue and I truly need to do a post for her and the other
Rina is Keya's captain
Matsuda. Final member is
Hikaru and in a day or two you'll hopefully be seeing her in some recaps for the "Borderless" drama.
Will wrap this up with a quick recap for the group's 'Soko' variety show, for a long time it wasn't being subbed but that's no longer the case but they don't get done for about three weeks after a show airs. Am a bit late with this episode as it aired way back on February 26th and it was show #121, hadn't done any group posts for a while which is why it's so late. But wanted to have a post for this episode as it was the final one before the third generation members were introduced, the variety show only featured them the next three episodes. The title to this show was "Dark History, should we seal it away?" and it was about events that happened in Keya's past the third generation members shouldn't be aware of. The two hosts would decide if something was so dark it should remain hidden though in the end none of the events were. I thought this was a fun show and would have loved to see a part two.
The 52 screenshots(!) below go in order of the action and you can just view them to see what took place. The first segment involved Minami and how she doesn't like people who talk with fake a Kansai dialect. That video had to be at least six years old and doesn't she look so different? Usually prefer a woman's natural hair but Minami as a blonde looks mighty fine to me. Mizuho had a couple of old segments on shows where she pretended to be an American and dressed as a cowgirl. I really liked her phrase "Habu a nice day!" though she was a bit embarrassed about her old segments. All of these old 'Dark History' segments were quite good and it was like a trip down memory lane, the one with Yumiko and Fuyuka falling at a concert was quite entertaining too and so weren't all of them.
