Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: Nao's 'Top Twenty of All Time Faves' list.... #6!!!!
Everyone up until now has of course been a huge fave of mine but these top six are truly the elites of the elite and all had a shot at being number one. Especially Ayumi who was my first fave ever and that happened back in 2006. Saw her on the cover of a few mags at a comic store dressed in her Deka uniform, quickly snatched up the mags and I was immediately hooked by her. Ayumi is the second oldest on the faves list and she was born in December of 1982, it's a bit odd the oldest one will be coming up next.
The only reason and I mean only reason Ayumi isn't number one is that she curtailed her activities back in 2012, she still appears in many dramas and the occasional film but isn't nearly as busy as she once was. She got married that year which is fine as four others on the list are married, she now has two children which hasn't stopped her from acting but we'll never see the kind of jaw-dropping pics that'll you be awe struck by today ever again. Don't mean to say the person at #1 isn't deserving of the honor as she is but had things been different she may have had to settle for the second spot.
This will be one of the biggest posts as there's over a hundred pics though not too much variety. Could have done five or more posts with her older activities and some new ones too from the past few years but that may be something worth saving for the future. Mentioned the first time I saw Ayumi which was on the cover of a pair of mags and still have them.
The 'Dekaranger' series that aired in 2004-05 is still my fave Sentai series of all time, Ayumi has appeared in a few other action series too. In 'Dekaranger' she was the Yellow Ranger and went by the name of Marika, highly recommend the show and bet I've seen it close to ten times.
Another Sentai series she appeared in was 'Kamen Rider W' from 2010, those are also solid shows with my fave being 'Kamen Rider 555' from 2003.
My favorite regular drama that Ayumi appeared in was 'Uramiya Honpo' from 2006, she had the lead role in the show. Hard to find it these days, think I got it at D-Addicts when they still had dramas but can't find it these days. It was a very popular late night series as there was also a TV movie and a second season which aired in 2009. Have watched them all though without subs but to me it was the easiest drama to follow without them.
A recent film that I reviewed and still is here is "Domension Travelers" from 2013 which was a decent movie Though Ayumi has really cut back on her activities the past six years, she was in zero 2017 dramas, she has appeared in six films plus five dramas and has also done two voice acting roles in anime movies.
These are from a 2008 interview for the website OCN. Had these pics because I wanted to post an excellent video from the site but it being so many years since it was posted it's no longer there but at least the pics look mighty fine.
Have some 'greatest hits' pics here but don't go away yet as after them is a special bonus. Ayumi is such an incredible knockout to me, besides being such a superb actress she was also a popular gravure model from 2004-0. Her photobooks and videos all were huge sellers with some of them topping the charts, shame she stopped doing breathtaking pics like these after 2006. Ayumi is 160 cm tall, that may be the shortest height for all of the actresses who made the list but taller than about five J-Pop Idols..... these are some of the most magnificent pics is history, whewwww.............
To reintroduce Ayumi did a pair of posts about a month ago for her. One was for her 2005 PB while the other was her pics from NS Eyes #360. That used to be a fine publication that shut down a few years ago and they truly had so many terrific pictorials over the years. Ayumi did a second set for them which was the next edition #361. It came out in March 2006 and there's a total of 49 pics today from it though it was slightly larger. After these final pics there's a short video which really needs to be viewed which is a behind the scenes one from the making of 'Metal Gear Acid 2'. Not the greatest quality video but talk about someone looking ultra sultry....
