Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: Nao's 'Top Twenty of All Time Faves' list.... #4!!!!

Don't think this will nearly as big of a post as the previous three were but there are some reasons for that and none of them are bad. One is that I keep up with all of Erika's activities and never save up things like I do for others. Another is that she has over.... 300(!) posts, Erika isn't #1 in that category but almost all of her posts are solo ones. That means is there's hardly anything from the past twelve years that haven't been posted about her from mag spreads to events to photobooks to videos to dramas and really every little thing about her.
For so long Erika topped my list but think it was around 2015 when she fell from the top spot. As you notice fourth is still very close to the top but for a two year stretch she wasn't overly busy plus I thought she lost a tad too much weight. She seems to have gained back a few pounds though still wish she would have seconds for dinner but she really is looking so much better this year.

There's a dream of mine that'll never come true, a dozen of her to choose from!!!! There should be at least one post for new activities coming up as Erika's next drama is beginning on October 12th. Title of the show is "Dai Renai: Boku o Wasureru Kimi to" and I'll be checking that series out. Never did finish recapping her Spring drama "Gakeppuchi Hotel", did watch all ten episodes and it was an okay series but she's been in better ones.
This new show looks like it may be a better drama, at the top is a short promo video for the show which will be airing Fridays on TBS. Erika truly looks A++++ in these top two pics which are from the set of the new drama, the bottom one is from August 17th when she turned thirty!

Doing an official count right as this moment of everything I've seen Erika in. The total for films is fifteen, eighteen dramas which will be increasing and ten TV movies. Bet no other actress can come close to that total and for some strange reason have never seen her in the 2016 'Death Note' movie and I'm a huge fan of the films, animes and mangas.

It's not my fave series from Erika as the first season of "Liar Game" may be but 'SPEC' was probably her best role. She was in the 2010 drama plus there's been five other movies she's been in so it's odd there was never any more seasons. There were two spin off shows this year though Erika wasn't in either but the second one doesn't begin until Friday. Posted the pics from the 'SPEC' photobook many years ago but in case you missed them here are the terrific pics.

Have a pair of mag spreads and had missed this first set which was from the July issue of Baila.

Erika has the cover for the October Voce but why is her spread only two pages????

That's about it for today but as mentioned there should be at least one post coming up for her new drama plus I am planning on recapping some or perhaps the entire series. Don't think there was ever an intro post when this blog began but as most should have figured out it was started because of Erika and the pic that you always see at the top of every page is from her 2008 TV movie "Miracle World". Will end off with some fabulous pics over the years and Erika has now been an actress for fifteen years, am a bit surprised she hasn't settled down yet. As a small bonus have an oldie CM for Cup Noodle after the pics that's from 2007.

  1. The ones to make the top twenty weren't too hard to figure out but the positioning was extremely difficult. No doubt the order would have been much different had I done this a few years ago but have mentioned a few times anyone in the top five could have taken the top spot. Only having three in front of you out of 65 million Japanese women isn't all that bad....
