Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Erika Toda: "Ano Hi no Orugan" film premiere pics, video and more....
Third Erika post in four days with new happenings which may have never happened before and probably never will again. But am taking it as a sign that I need to start viewing more of her dramas and films again, had taken a break but once I complete the three other shows I'm watching think it'll be time for a mini Erika marathon. "Dai Renai" was her last drama, that'll definitely be in that marathon. Also a series that needs watching is "Revenge" from 2017, watched the first two shows and thought it was decent but for some unknown reason dropped it.
May do a few recaps for those series but won't be doing every episode. The one other thing that hasn't been viewed was the 'Death Note' film from 2016. Looks to be an solid film and also has a few more faves of mine in it but keep forgetting to watch it. As you can see by the title the main theme of this post is the premiere of the "Ano Hi no Orugan", these days Erika looks so elegant and classy at events. But she always hasn't looked that way as my all time fave pics of her are from a May 1, 2009 event and they're close to being my top ones ever. On that date she was promoting her 'Vivace' photobook and there's not enough superlatives to do her justice, wowowowow! The top two pics here and above are from the book.
Took a short break to let you get your breath back, once again wowowowow! On to the recent happenings and the other star of the "Ano Hi no Orugan" movie is Sakurako Ohara, she's someone I've liked for a few years. She's mainly a rockin' singer but have viewed her in a few things and she's a decent actress. Her and Erika have done a few website interviews for the film with this first batch with Eiga.com.
Erika and her new best mate were dressed the same for this next interview with Mantan Web. Though the pics came out this week the interviews were done after the first screening of the film that took place two weeks ago.
Here's a few more promo stills for the "Ano Hi no Orugan" film which I don't think have been posted before. Erika has the lead role in it and her character's name is Kaede Itakura.
An underrated film she starred in was "Hankyu Railways", that one I really enjoyed. Did a review on it but bet it was done right around when this blog started so perhaps a good idea is to watch it again along with having another post for it as I'm sure nobody has read it.
On to the premiere of the "Ano Hi no Orugan" film which took place today. The event took place at the Shinjuku Piccadilly, not sure if this has the making of a hit movie but it's one that looks interesting to me and will view when it comes out on DVD. The film is set at the end of WWII when Tokyo was being bombed to smithereens and how some kindergarten teachers had to protect and still teach the children.
May not sound like one that would be appealing to a young crowd but seems like a good film to me. As mentioned at the top these days Erika dresses so much more elegantly at events and today's was no exception, she's really looking so super duper once again. Have 34 pics from the premiere which all should find fabulous plus after the pics there's a terrific video of the event.
