Previous positions
While her photobook from five months ago had some searing pics I've always liked that top one immensely and that's from five years ago! So while it seems there's such a huge amount of posts for J-Pop Idols don't think that's really the case these days though once again this year they had more posts than anyone else. Haven't done any kind of counts but you have an idea of things when you do so many posts. I think that 2023 will have the fewest posts for Idols than any other year this past decade! Really only do posts for Hina and Keya members these days, also two each from Nogi and Morning Musume. But after that only do posts for one HKT member and she will be departing from them in a month. So almost every Idol that I posted about five years ago has graduated and what a horrible stretch it's been, why are so many graduating when the odds of them being successful as a solo entertainer aren't that much above 0%?!?! Did say yesterday that I hoped this post wouldn't be done until Monday, that was unless there was nothing else to post about today. Which did happen but will vow not to do #11 for at least two days, hope I can find something else to post about.
This is Shiho's first time ever making the yearly and the only reason for that is because up until 2023 she had never had the six solo posts that are needed to qualify. She's the only one that was like that, some are new because I hadn't started posting about them until this year while two others were eligible last year but just didn't make the cut. In all 29 women this year had six or more posts, so while twelfth may seem like a lowish position it really isn't as she beat out seventeen others. This should be another decent post as there are over fifty pics that had never been seen here before.
What hurt Shiho slightly as far as where she ended up on the list is that two other Hina members will also make the list. Both will be in the top five and that's never happened before, what also has never happened is three from one group making the top ten. Didn't want 2023 to be the first year for it to happen and while I still am a big Hina fan don't like the GROUP as much as I once did. What I mean by that is I'm really liking the members themselves much more these days and that was also the case for Nogi starting around 2017. Sure other fans have noticed how there's been such a decrease in group activities over the past year such as appearing at events together or having magazine spreads with other members plus it was another year without a group drama.
Wonder if that has something to do with their slight decrease in popularity? For to me it seems Keya this year has become closer as a group and does so many things together, some members will always have a good amount of outside work but they seem to be much more close knit then they once were. Just my two cents on some things, was probably correct on many but could have been mistaken on others also. This makes it nine posts for Shiho this year and before 2023 she had never had more than five. If there's one thing she could be #1 in this year is for photobooks and her first that came out in June was so mighty impressive. While a large post could have made it bigger but holding back a few recent things as I don't want this to be a one and done year for her.
Would like to have a post for Shiho next month but doubt if it will happen. December isn't a busy time of the year which is why the fave's list is done then along with some other kinds of lists. So will have this early batch of pics for Christmas and don't think any of these had been posted before. The top ones are older Hina cards and some are quite ancient(!), back then they were known as Hiragama46. The bottom ones are from her long running 'Recon' radio show but that ended in March of this year though she does have a new show.
