Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Sei Shiraishi: Talk about a blast from the past(!).... part three....

This has been kind of odd though in a good way, after going almost 21 months with no posts save for some drama ones this is Sei's third in twenty days. There's no way that pace will keep up but now that she's etched in my mind think you'll be seeing much more of her in the future. There's still some odds and ends to get to from 2019/2020 so will have those activities plus new tidbits in upcoming posts. So three posts means Sei is halfway there to qualifying for the yearly faves's list which obviously means you need six in a year. The other requirement is that you need to be at least 21 in age, no problems there as on August 10th she'll be turning 23.

Sei is the type of woman who usually fares well on the yearly top twenty list. Realize there's so many posts for gravure models and Idols but if you've noticed have really cut back on those in 2021 and bet to date for this year there's been more posts for actresses and dramas. Least Hinatazaka46 has kept my interest level up a bit for J-Pop but with so many graduations kind of losing my passion for Nogi, NMB, etc. In 2019 Sei was in an Idol drama titled "Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita" and recapped the entire eight episode series. That was a show I really enjoyed and Sei is one if the top young actresses around, what I really like about her is that she'll do any kinds of roles. Such as being in the "Girl Gun Lady" drama that I also recapped and that series ended a week ago. Gave it a rating of 9/10 and that'll be one of my higher rated shows of the year.

So back to that 'fave's list, if Sei can remain somewhat busy for the next few months she'll easily make the list and perhaps even the top five. Every now and again have a slight period of stagnation when it comes to writing up drama recaps. Am having a slight one these last few days for her 2020 series "Kyoufu Shinbun" but least have started the first recap and hope to have the first two by Sunday, it's a seven episode drama. The title means Terror Newspaper which has been a popular theme over the years as there's been a couple of other dramas in that vein along with many movies.

She plays the main character of Shizuru who is a second year student at a college in Kyoto. Shizuru has just moved out of her parent's house into her very first apartment and that's when the terror began. At midnight a mysterious paper named Terror Bulletin will suddenly appear in her apartment, it's only two pages but predicts what tragedies will take place the following day. Such as Shizuru's father dying in the first show and you can see that gruesome incident below. Screenshots after that one are from the second episode which really had such an intense ending as Shizuru thought she could perhaps change the outcome of those newspaper stories but to no avail.

I'm definitely a fan of horror or intense dramas and films, there was a long stretch where there weren't too many worth viewing but that's changed over the last year. Sei has the lead female role in her current film "Mune ga Narunoha Kimi no Sei" that came out on June 4th. In her last post had many pics from the film's premiere and in it's first weekend was ninth at the box office. Have some interview pics here from an interview she did for the movie with the Dwango site.

Did a pair of posts back in the Summer of 2019 when these spreads came out and for some reason didn't include either one. Both are from Weekly Ascii and their July 2nd and ninth issues.

Newish set here that's from the June 10th edition of Shukan Bunshun.

Sei has really been busier than ever in 2021 and she'll be in another drama beginning in July but she won't have the lead role. One more new spread that's from the July issue of ar.

Let's go back a bit in time for this final set of pics, all the way back to October 9, 2019 to be exact. The following day Sei's first photobook was released though it wasn't your normal one. What it consisted of was a selection of 70,000 pics(!) that had been taken of Sei from 2016 to 2020 and hard to believe she had that many pics taken of her. This final batch are taken from a fanless press conference held for the book and following them is a video of the event.
