Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Mai Shinuchi: Just because I can't get enough of her!!!!
Kind of a slowish week for happenings which does happen on occasion, usually means a busy stretch is about to pop up. Speaking of slowish that's what it's been with Nogi posts for current members, think there's just been two since mid April. One reason is that the number of members I post about has really dwindled and have said often they day Nogi posts cease isn't that far in the future. The more major reason is that there's been so little to post about my remaining faves, the group has kept a somewhat low profile since their last single. The posts are anything but slow for Mai as this is her eleventh since December 1st which puts her in a tie for first place but think she'll soon fall off the pace.
This also marks ten consecutive months that Mai has had at least one solo post which is the current longest streak but someone could top her if she has a post in June. So all these posts has really helped Mai for the 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' list which will start in two months. It's also put her in contention on being this year's #1 fave and who would have thought that a few years ago? I would have as Mai is someone I've liked so much more than most would know but she just didn't begin having many solo posts until two years ago, she seems busier now than compared to when she was with Nogi.
She'll have another post coming very soon too. So while there's a lot of pics for today cant say there's a ton of current pics but do have many older ones that had never been posted before. Mai is quite busy as she has a new radio show and has also been guest hosting on some TV variety shows but those activities don't make for interesting posts. So mentioned there's some older things that had never been posted and to start off have some Nogi cards from December 2020. Had gotten away from including them in posts but just wrapped up all of the ones from 2021 and said why not continue with them?
It's been almost four months since Mai departed from Nogi. February 10th is the exact date and on that day her graduation concert took place at the Tokyo International Forum. It was an okay show but the middle dragged a bit with too much talking but guess it was needed, wish more than nine songs were performed. Have the video of that final concert and have been including some screenshots in these posts, it was a 110 minute show and this brings us up to the one hour mark.
One negative is that Mai isn't currently a model for any site/company, she was with Oggi for three years but sadly that gig ended in April. It's a shame as their pics were always superb and so weren't the ones at the andGirl site. Mai appeared in some plays while with Nogi and she's doing well in that field as she's already been in three more plays since graduating and has another one coming up in July. 'Super Sento Live: Youlin Rouge' is the title of her latest one which only had a two day run but was held at a large theater, noticed stage plays in Japan these days don't have long runs. There was a very mini press conference for it on May 29th.
There was also a mini presentation before the first show on June 3rd.
Pics here are from an interview for the play with the Engeki site, it was Mai's first comedy and here's the link to the site: Engeki interview
Oooops, almost forgot these Instagram pics which are from the past three weeks.
In Mai's last post had a new mag spread but I don't think we're going to be seeing many of them in the future. But do have many from the past which I bet many viewers have never seen before so will end this post off with this set from the November 2019 issue of BLT. Speaking of that magazine they used to have this series back in 2013/14 called 'Nogizaka Quarterly' which I really liked. Each member had a set of pics plus there was always a terrific video and have one after this set if you want to see what she looked like eight years ago....
