"Bokura ga Koroshita, Saiai no Kimi" drama: Episode four recap

Air Dates: September 17 to October 8, 2021 on TELASA, Friday's at 8:00 pm
Six episodes in all, 22 minutes a show.... Subs were done by Donsubs

Main Cast: The setting is an unknown three story building in Tokyo, the seven characters have met for their 10th middle school reunion so their ages are about 22. Slowly the characters are being killed off and there's no escape from the building as the doors are barricaded plus there's no phone/computer access.

Fumiya Takahashi as Rei Kobayashi.... Seemed to be one of the more popular kids back in school but like the others has some disturbing secrets.

Jin Suzuki as Hajime Ozaki.... Was Rei's best friend until they were twelve as his family moved away at the time and was responsible for Rei's 'injury'.

Hiroe Igeta as Rina Yoshimura.... Rei's current girlfriend but growing up had a secret crush on Hajime which was revealed and has made Rei slightly jealous.

Yuno Ohara as Asuka Honda... The 'ugly duckling' back in school but has blossomed into an alluring woman who has a crush on Rei. She's not the innocent girl all had known as Asuka is quite a vamp and so conniving.

Jiei Wakabayashi as Hiroto Wakaba.... Bit of a hothead who didn't know the other students at the reunion all that well.

Tsuyoshi Furukawa as Yuma Kamei.... Like Hiroto didn't know the others that well, an extremely quiet man but by choice. Was murdered at the end of the third episode.

Ryubi Miyase as Kaoru Nakamura.... Organized the reunion and was such a creepy man. Say was for at the end of the first episode he died in an electrocution accident.... or was it?

 Previous recaps

Second and last trio of recaps for this mini series which has gotten much better the last two shows. Thought there would have been more deaths though, just two through five episodes. Then again it was just a cast of seven, if five were killed then there wouldn't have been much mystery to who the murderer was. Haven't viewed the final show yet, want to write the recaps for the fourth and fifth episodes first as to keep the suspense and mystery up there a bit.

May not talk too much of what's taken place up until now so if you haven't read any of the recaps would suggest checking out the first one which explains the story fairly well. At the end of the third episode Rina was checking the storage room for more supplies as the six will be spending another night locked up in this three story building located somewhere in Tokyo. In the final few seconds of that show Rina flashed her light to the floor, there she saw the body of Yuma which is in the top screenshot. The reunion party's host Kaoru was killed at the end of the first show, it was by electrocution but it's still not certain if it was an accident, one of the guests killed him or is there another person in the building? Yuma's death was no accident as his throat was slashed and he seemed like a tough man to kill.

Shortly after thee discovery the remaining four entered the storage room, now the 'Blame Game' has begun! Of course the only witness was the killer but there are a few pieces of evidence that could expose that person. The character I can't stand the most is Hiroto, he's adamant with the fact that Hajime has killed Yuma and at first seemed as though he may be right. Personally don't think he is correct but once the group began talking most of the suspicion fell on Hajime who after the accusations was told to stay away from the others and wait in a cellar room. When the four began their chat about the death it's come out that Asuka was the last person to see Yuma alive, he died shortly after that. At first we thought Asuka was such a sweet young woman but she's deceived all of her old friends. She had admitted to Yuma that when she was a senior in high school she seduced a teacher and became pregnant! What a conniving person she is and that only gets worse as time goes on.

Yuno has always played sweet and naive girls in other dramas, not in this one. That top screenshot is of the conversation she had with Yuma before his murder. That rumor about Hajime came out years after he moved away when he was twelve, he killed someone when he was that age?! Yes, that rumor was true but as Hajime will later say it was an accident. But Asuka has told the small group it was no accident, perhaps he enjoyed it so much he also slew Kaoru and Yuma! But there's more to the story which is that after Hajime moved away at the age of twelve he changed his name though we haven't learned to what. In a slightly confusing moment Yuma had told Asuka he had Hajime's new ID with the name change, how he got it flew over my head and he wanted Asuka's help to bring down Hajime.

When Yuma was murdered he held that ID in his hand, was he going to give it back to Hajime? At first neither Rei nor Hiroto knew of the ID but as we've learned Asuka and Yuma did, possibly the dead Kaoru did too. Sounds a tad confusing, to me it was slightly and that's what happens on occasion when shows are only 22 minutes long. But one other person became aware of Hajime's ID with his new identity, that was Rina who took it out of Yuma's hand when she discovered his dead body. Somehow Asuka witnessed that act and now a bit of suspicion has fallen upon Rina. She did not want to talk about it with anyone including her boyfriend Rei and told the other three she would go visit Hajime for more answers. You can see that comment by Asuka right above to Rei, what a devil she is but she could have a point.

Hajime never denied killing a boy when he was twelve and told Rina the entire story. It happened during Archery club when another member walked in front of the bullseye just when Hajime was about to shoot his arrow. The rest of the Archery club also said it was an accident but can one ever be sure? After that incident the media began hounding Hajime's parents so they sent him away as they wanted nothing to do with their son, that's when he changed his name and it wasn't revealed who he lived with. Rina believed his story and seemed to be so relieved, though Rei's girlfriend it's becoming so clear that she'd rather be with Hajime who was her first crush until he moved away.

Rei told others that he still believes in his old friend Hajime, Rei can't accept the fact he could have killed the two people at the reunion. Rei went to the basement and did overhear a bit of Hajime's story which made Rei a bit happy, he wasn't so when he saw Rina and Hajime embrace. Those bottom two screenshots took place in the final thirty seconds, when Rei went to see Hajime it left Asuka and Hiroto alone in the main gathering room. Not sure what drove her to do it, perhaps she needed a new ally? Asuka can be such a vamp and very quickly began to seduce the 'innocent about love' Hiroto, as the show ended the pair were on the floor and could the unthinkable happen? That you'll find out in the next recap which is the following post.
