Nogizaka46: The glimmering 'Mai Shinuchi post' #15....

 

 Though 2021 has seen a big decrease in Nogi posts compared to previous years five members have six posts that have made them eligible for the yearly fave's list, there's an outside chance one more may qualify. But just because a person is eligible doesn't mean they'll finish in the top sixteen which is how many faves will be on this year's list. Two Nogi members will definitely make the list, probably a third. But though I do like the others who won't make the cut quite a bit there's that something which prevents them from being a bigger fave of mine. No worries about Mai who is one of those locks to be in the top sixteen and she's set a personal record as this is her eighth solo post of the year.

 It is kind of odd that Mai has set that record as her activities, along with all Nogi members, have decreased so much compared to prior years. But then again I like her more than ever and though not 100% certain think she's become much more popular with older fans who may not care as much about the younger gals now in Nogi which is someone like me. In exactly three months Mai will be hitting the age of thirty, that's a first for a Nogi member and don't think we'll see that happen again. Hope hitting that age doesn't mean an impending graduation and have heard no rumors of that, to me why not stay until you're 32 or so?

 Though I've been mentioning the fave's list often lately haven't been working on who is going to end up in what position, need to soon as the countdown will begin around Thanksgiving. So at this point tend to hold on to new pics and such for those that will definitely make the list so this will be Mai's final post until her spot on the list comes up and have no clue where she'll end up! Let's get to today's things, have a total of forty recent pics plus some oldies that may have never been in a post before. Will start off with some Instagram pics as most members have an account these days and don't do nearly as many posts on the Nogi blog. Few are from her very popular 'All Night Nippon' radio show, seems like Mai would be an excellent host on a TV variety show but that hasn't happened yet.

 Will try to have a few Nogi Halloween posts but there's been very few new pics. Can remember years back when Nogi did some spooky concerts for the day and perhaps also had a TV special, hate to say it but they're not nearly as fun these days. Not too many Halloween pics for her but you may see some more in those group posts, that bottom one is certainly a real oldie. My top pic is the fifth one, maybe some fans think Mai's legs are too thin but to me she has the best gams of any Idol.

 Sigh, that pair really knows how to make ol' Nao more than a tad jealous........

 Have some recent Nogi cards but am holding back a few for Mai's next post which should be in about five or so weeks. Top ones are group cards for July while the others are from Nogi's Summer tour. That tour was a mini one as they played twelve concerts in six cities, their two Tokyo Dome shows were postponed but they'll hopefully be taking place next month.

 Up until mid 2020 bet Nogi members appeared in 25-30 magazines a month, seems these days the monthly total is about a third of that or only eight to ten. So that means no new Mai spreads but do have all of her sets from 2016-20 and noticed today she's never had a solo cover. This fine set is a bit of an oldie that's from the April 2017 issue of BLT. Think it's good to have some older things now and again as I bet many fans have never seen some spreads or have forgotten all about them.

 To date have had sixty posts for Nogi photobooks and almost all have been extremely popular. Out of the sixty Mai's post for her 2017 PB "Doko ni Iruna" has had the 22nd most views and that's not a bad position. It was a terrific book though wish there were a tad few more gravure pics. The PB was released on November 14, 2017, these pics are from an event for it and so far for 2021 there's only been one regular Nogi event which is a huge reason why there haven't been as many group posts.  Will end off with these superb new pics from the Oggi site and she's has been a model for them since April 2019. Mai did host the October 5th 'Showroom' but in all honesty most of them aren't all that interesting. So after the pics have my fave solo video which is real old and from June 2014. It's really worth a view and back then Nogi had a series called 'Nogizaka Quarterly' with the BLT magazine and all of the videos are highly recommended.
