Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yui Oguri: Her slightly belated.... Happy 22nd Birthday post!

Gulp, when she puts it so nicely guess I have no choice!!!! Wonder what took so long as it's been seven months since her last post! But that hasn't been from not trying as I truly had wanted to do many posts for Yui yet this is her first one since May, it's not like it once was doing posts for AKB members. Am just a tad belated as birthday #22 took place four days ago but better late than never, there will be one more post coming for 2023 in a few hours but this is the final one I'm writing up.

Can't say I'm much of an AKB fan these days though I do like them more than I did 2-3 years ago but Yui is a member who I've liked for a while but never did posts for her until this year because of her age. She was the center for the group's last single which was their 62nd and was a somewhat decent song, because of being the center thought there would be many things to post about her but it didn't turn out that way. Not going to discuss it today but Yui was in a minor movie that came out in November titled "Girls Drive" and that's where the second pic of the post is from. So while it hasn't been a busy stretch do have about 65 pics for today that had never been posted before.

If you want to go all the way back to February highly recommend checking out Yui's first post which was for her one and only photobook. I thought it was a superb book and while it does have over 1,400 views really thought it would have been much popular. Then again AKB isn't nearly as successful as they once were and bet I tend to draw more fans of the '46' groups. Have a little bit of a lot of things for today, first off are these monthly AKB cards from earlier this year but not nearly as many are released as there once was,

Yui's six posts from earlier this year had an average of almost 800 views per post so she must have more than just a handful of fans here. Up next are these recent pics from her IG page and she's someone who doesn't post a massive amount of them.

Here's a photo you may see in every one of her posts, what a shame this may be the only one we'll ever see of the pair.

As mentioned Yui hit the age of 22 four days ago but she hasn't posted any birthday pics so these are a few from past years.

Of course Yui's birthday is just one day after Christmas and an ex-Hina member also celebrates her birthday on the 26th. Have some sharp looking pics here for the holiday with the first and last three being from this year.

What's a bit surprising to me is that Yui hasn't had a solo magazine spread since May. Her spreads never feature gravure photos but to me all have been so terrific. With there being no new ones let's go back exactly a year for this fabulous spread from the January 1st issue of Weekly Shonen.

In September Yui began as as model for the Dazzlin' site but her first modeling pics didn't come out until November which are these fabulous pics, hope there's many more in the future.

Final set of pics and to me these are the top ones for this post. Have more from Dazzlin' as on September 30th Yui appeared on their stage at the Autumn/Winter 'Girls Award' show and I think these are her best event pics ever, actually some of the top event pics for this year! After the pics is a brand new video from the 'Make Keep Mist' YT channel which I enjoyed and you can see how Yui spends her fee time, she does have a very pleasant voice.
