Nogizaka46: The monthly second generation post.... two months late!

 

 Really was going to take today off and skip this post but did promise to do it a few days ago. But then thought about Miona's graduation concert that'll sadly be taking place tomorrow so didn't want to hold on to these things in case there's a post or two about it. As the title says am two months late and didn't think it'd be this difficult doing a monthly post for the second generation members. But it really has proved to be tougher than expected but if you've noticed that's been the case for regular Nogi group posts too as it seems ten members at most have been busy the last few months. Perhaps busy isn't the right word but they're the ones who get the most exposure.

 So though there's been no 2G post since December there have ben many solo ones but just for these top three faves. So many fans have said it over the years which is that so many second generation members have been overlooked which is so correct. It's such a shame as I really like this small group of gals and have noticed more than ever lately how few pics they have compared to other members. But at least most do have other activities going on outside Nogi and to me it's wise remaining with them as it's a steady paycheck and the entertainment field is over saturated with semi popular ex-Idols.

 After tomorrow's graduation the total second generation members will be down to seven and hope it doesn't get any lower for a while. May do a post or two for the concert but let me wait first to see if it'll be subbed for if that happens will hold off until that's done. So though it's been three months since a group post there really aren't all that many new things but these members, most at least, tend to get forgotten so it's a nice chance for them to get a bit of exposure. Will have a few pics of everyone but not that many for the top two gals who each had a solo post the last week. First off are some for Rena who will be turning 24 in May. She's had her own radio show on Tokyo FM for six months now and many 2G members have their own shows, these are pics from some recent shows.

 A year ago Rena graduated from Keio University so least when she departs she should have something set up for her future. As mentioned will have a few pics of everyone so up next with some Nogi' Always For You' cards is Ranze. Along with so many fans thought she'd be so much more popular as she was a Senbatsu member for a couple of singles and her fan base seemed to be growing rapidly. That didn't happen and can't give a reason why, she's one who does very little outside the group.

 Yet again have another pair we seldom see, the main thing about the second generation gals is that it's rare for them to appear at events or have solo spreads. This pair had so few of the above set of cards had to include some promo ones for Nogi's 'NogiKoi' app game. First off is Junna who has been in eight stage plays but none in the last year. Following her is Miria who I felt deserved a much better opportunity, she's such a kawaii gal and also one of the more interesting members. At 21 in age and with a height of 153 cm she's both the youngest and shortest of the 2G members.

 The above duo at least one shared a mag spread which to me was a pretty darn good one, this set is from the February 2020 edition of Platinum Flash.

 Haven't discussed Ayane yet and bet she'll have an okay career once she leaves Nogi, on March 5th she hit the age of 22. She has the only new spread that's from the April issue of EX-Taishu.

 Surprisingly Ayane did have her own photobook which came out last November. It was a decent seller at over 40,000 copies sold by January and the total is probably higher by now. Have some outtake pics from the PB, most have been posted before but not the top one which easily rates an A+++++++!

 It's Sakura blossoming time in Japan and Nogi has some new member pics for the occasion. 

 Usually end these posts off with Mai who had a solo for three straight months but there just weren't enough new things for a fourth month. She's been the host of the popular 'All Night Nippon' radio show for many years and have some pics from recent shows. But it's the bottom eight pics which are the more important ones as they're from Wednesday's show that featured Miona. Did read a transcript of the show but there's way too many things to mention as it lasted for almost two hours, final pic is of all the 2G members appearing in the studio.  Mai has been a model for the andGirl site/magazine for over two years but they haven't had any new pics of her in many months. But she's also a model for Oggi and the number of pics at their site has really increased as of late plus they're all beyond perfect! The 2G gals did have a superb tune and PV  from Nogi's March 2020 single but besides that have very few other videos featuring them. But have a brand new one from yesterday to promote the concert tomorrow that will air on Abema-TV, not subbed but it's worth a watch if you're a fan.
