Yui Kobayashi: Her majestic monthly post for February.... just a week late!!!!

Just like last year there was no way that a monthly post was going to be possible but this makes two in not even ten weeks and I'd take that pace. This first week of March will probably have more posts than any other for 2021, with one more day to go there may be 25 or perhaps more. But more importantly was the quality of them as nine(!) faves from last year's top twenty list had a post this week plus two others who barely missed did too.
Of course I like to have many posts though more than anything it's the quality of them and don't know of a stretch where so many of my faves have had so many posts. Bit of an early anniversary post here as it was in late March 2019 when Yui had her first solo post. Did like her quite a bit back then but didn't consider her to be a fave of mine. That's really changed since early 2020 and she's one of my mega faves, last year she was tenth on the list and would have battled for the top spot had Keya not had such a quiet year.

Did mention a few times in her posts last year that it may have been a good time for Yui to graduate as she is quite popular. Not a good idea these days though and it's a good thing she's got a steady gig going. There's been so many Idol graduations/retirements these last seven months, too many actually as the entertainment field is now oversaturated with Idols who truly don't have much of a chance to be successful. So kind of glad to see some of my older faves in Nogi, Keya and SKE sticking around even though they're 25+ in age. You'd think most Idols would notice what's happened with other graduates and decide to stay with their groups but not enough do. I've certainly noticed over the years how few Idols have become successful as it seems very few have posts after their departures.

So glad to see that Yui remained and odds are she'll be with Keya at least another year. Quite a few new pics for today but it's very odd that there's zero new mag spreads, she hasn't had a regular solo one in many, many months. There was actually very few 2020 spreads too save for With but in 2018/19 Yui appeared in more mags than any other Keya member. Let's get to the pics which may total over eighty with most of them being from the past month. Not this first batch though but these had never been posted before which are some older 'KeyaKise' promo game cards and we need more new ones.

Keya's group blog is called 'Diary', like most members Yui isn't a good poster but these are all recent pics and that top one rates an A++++.

That bottom pic is pretty darn good too! Starting tomorrow is a new '46' group drama that features members of Keya, Nogi and Hina. Don't know the full details yet as I thought it was just going to last for four episodes. But the series will be airing until May 9th and what it consists of are four stories that eventually become intertwined. The drama is called "Borderless" and Yui will be the star of one of the stories, to me she's a solid actress. She'll be playing the role of Kotone and will hold off on talking about the stories. This series will probably be subbed so when it happens will recap the drama and there's a few other faves of mine starring in the series. Have some promo pics here from it and there was a mini event held three days ago for the show.

Four superb new promo pics for the Keya/Hina online game 'Uni's on Air'.

Keya's second single under their new Sakura name is coming out on April 14th. Title of it is "Ban" and once again Yui isn't the center but is in the front row, also once again don't think the first generation members will have any solo songs. Yui has been a model for the With magazine since September 2018 and have plenty of recent fabulous pics from their site. But there's been no new ones for over two weeks nor has the mag put out an issue in two months.

Those pics are actually better than their mag spreads. There was a Keya event last week but for the first time in ages Yui wasn't in attendance. But she was last Sunday for the Spring/Summer 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show that was held at an empty Yoyogi First Gymnasium arena but it was streamed live. She took two strolls with this first one being on the R4G stage.

Second appearance on the stage was to promote yet another new Keya AEON credit card and they've probably had twenty the past few years. Yui looked mighty fine for both strolls but have to admit she was dressed so much better at previous shows. There's some promo videos for the "Borderless" drama but not for her segment yet but the series is looking  be an interesting one. Especially the first show which is the only one with promo videos. But after the pics have one short video from that mini event held three days ago, it features the three oldest gals from the '46' groups in the special drama and did they really drink a shot of Sake? Hmmmm, know Nogi gals enjoy the spirits but do they?
EDIT: Yet again another YT video was deleted, grrrr....
